I love this scope and you can get them at competitive prices. Its great for HFT where you don't need the side focus.

You need to adjust the diopter (against a white sheet of paper) and get those reticles crystal clear and your problem with losing them when acquiring your target will go away, I brought mine outside right out of the box and it was even worse than what you were seeing but after making the diopter (or ocular eye bell as you call it) adjustment, I took it into the woods during an overcast day and couldn't loose them if I wanted to !

Keep it on 30. Put the scope on 10 pwr. Look up to a blue sky or a tree at least 200 yrs away. Adjust your ocular lends till your cross hairs are clear. Then anything on your paralax lense from yardage in. Then your eye lenses is focused. Yes keep that scope learn it and appreciate it. I've got an airmax on my cz 457. 22lr. I've had the same scope on an inline 50 cal cva. It holds up.

Hawke actually do a .22lr specific scope in case you’re interested. Saw it the other day and looks pretty good.

Great video ! im considering buying one like this for my airking 54 but 3-9x40. Im not sure if 3-9 is enough thou or i should get 4-12. Can you tell me if it comes with green red illumination too pls or if you have tried 3-9x40 or i should get 4-12x40? Thank you.
@Deerdude223 жыл бұрын
Mine doesn’t have illumination but there is models that do have it. For me personally I think 4-12 is the perfect hunting magnification. Just my 2cents

Hey, will this scope work with the the Hatsan 125 sniper? And what do you think of the 50mm version of the scope? What mount would I need for the hatsan
@Deerdude223 жыл бұрын
That gun is a gas piston break barrel so it would definitely be better than spring powered guns on a scope. I would say that it would work just fine on that gun. So it looks like that gun has a weaver rail so you would need 1 inch weaver scope rings and the only thing the 50 mm objective does is allow more light to come in but it does add weight so that would be up to you whether you wanted the 40 mm or the 50 mm.

@@Deerdude22 Thanks for the quick reply! What height for the mount would you recommend?-Im new to airgunning so Im kinda clueless when it comes to mounting scopes
@Deerdude223 жыл бұрын
@@Benjamin-ii3ke I would say with the 50mm you would definitely need high. But if you went with the 40mm then the medium should be fine. Ideally you want your scope to be as low to the gun as possible to keep the barrel as parallel as possible to the scope.

Thanks for this mate. In the exact same situation as you I wanted the 50mm and have accidentally ordered the 40mm. It sounds by what your saying that when the 40mm arrives next week that the field of view is so good anyway I should just keep it? Also how is the scope holding up at this point? Furthermore is the reticule suitable for target shooting and hunting later at night as the reticule does look a little thin. I would really appreciate if you responded. Cheers.

I own 5 Hawke scopes and out of all of those I like the my airmax the best. It’s just so lightweight and the lenses are so clear. As far as I know the only thing the 50mm has over the 40mm is that it lets some more light in. But I haven’t had any problems with seeing. As far as the reticle goes I honestly didn’t care for it when I first got the scope but it’s really grown on me. With a reticle that’s so fine you are able to take much more accurate shots. All in all you’ve made a great choice!

@@Deerdude22 Ok brilliant, ill stick with the 40mm and I'm sure like you I'll get used to the reticule. - Thanks.

Hawke airmax vs hawke vantage ? Which one to get ?
@Deerdude224 жыл бұрын
If you can afford the airmax definitely go with the airmax, but the vantage is also a good scope. You get more clarity and field of view with the airmax.

I have the same scope. This scope is not suitable for a rifle with a spring. For RSR only. My scope broke after 1000 shots.

@@Deerdude22 It's quite possible. Horizontal adjustment knob stopped working. The spring has moved. I fixed it through the hole horizontal adjustment knob. I found another video about a low-quality Hawk scope: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ptyWdpyDlbXXdYU.html Chinese quality leaves much to be desired.
