This wasn't an audit I planned just a complaint about a trespassing documentary crew. I'm all about everyone's right to film in public but I do have a problem with the police walking 100 foot down a private driveway knocking on the door, getting everyone out then waving a film crew in to record without permission.

21:20 Dude, are you serious? Watch your video again and you'll see that you're using cheap arguments and the chief doesn't. You know why? You tell him what a "problem" is and you even try to order him what to do with that patch. You're telling him that the "thin blue line" is all about bad and corrupt cops and that everyone using it must be a criminal. If the chief would argue the way you do, he would have given you examples of guys with a camera, showing up on a scene where officers struggle to get a criminal into handcuffs who murdered someone a couple of minutes ago, yelling "Let him go, he's done nothing wrong" and "police brutality" at the cops. I see that you're not one of these guys and so knows the chief. So he won't pull that argument, because he sees you as the single person. He doesn't see you as a part of camera wilding morons. But that's the thing you do, because you see every cop as a law violator you want to convict and you see everyone in contact with a thin blue line flag as a felon. You want to be treated without any prejudice, but you require a patch to be taken off the wall because you judge everyone who is using it. That's the point. It's interesting what you're doing, searching for mistakes done by cops and I have to admit that the work you do is indeed necessary, because there is pretty much shit going on in american law enforcement. But always remember, if I would keep following you the whole day with a camera, it'll get to a point where you'll get caught doing something wrong. Always remember that while requiring other people to be perfect... So it might be the better way for you to stay neutral until you know who you're talking to instead of judging someone in a negative way from the beginning on. 1:09 So in your opinion, it is wrong for the police to talk to parents about their kids playing around with BB rifle replicas, probably shooting onto the neighbor's property? And you think it is wrong for the police to tell kids not to aim any kind of weapon onto a vehicle or a person, because someday it might be daddy's real rifle with real life ammunition they've found somewhere in the house instead of their BB rifle? So the only time the police shoud enter this property is when one kid shot the other kid with daddy's rifle while playing around? What the chief was doing over there was a thing called "prevention". The scary thing is that people want to be treated as an individual human being by the police, but they are terrified by every police officer just because of the media. Even if he's just there to say hello and to keep the kids from doing stupid things, only because they never saw a police officer doing a good job before. Chief Gilow retired meanwhile, because the new mayor simply couldn't accept that he was more popular in the city than she was. So she spreaded rumors that he had taken money from the general budget for personal use, just to make him look bad. In court, he was acquitted of all charges and he had most of the town on his side. Some town officials also quitted when he announced that he doesn't want to be the chief anymore. When he came to Hawkins and became the chief, the crime rate decreased and when he left, the crime rate increased. So as a matter of fact: He did his job and he did it pretty good in his kind of way, that's something you can't deny and that's why most of the people in town wanted him to stay.

@@damagedbeyondrepairmedia what if it happened to me and im still not hating on all cops? its like a woman that got raped an hates all men. or a man that got cheated on and hates all women. it makes no sense! you should fight the evil ones and reward the good ones. you applauding to a good one leaving his job "because acab", but who is gonna replace him? not all of your arguments are wrong, but u make no difference... i hope you can free yourself from that anger inside of you, because its nothing that could be explained rationally. even how you talk to him, when he is 100% calm and with you on your examples. i watched the german TV series and im proud of what i have seen. he isnt a gun swinging redneck cop, but did his job with his hearth. wish you the best to find someone like him, because people like you hate on police: until it happens to you....

Proves that he is exactly how he appears on german TV. I saw the episode with these children. He was very nice and did nothing but explain to them how to play with their BB guns and what not to do like pointing them at other people, the mother didn't look intimidated at all, as he wanted to leave she even went after him to tell him about something else and of course they blurred them out. Don't know where that came from all of a sudden but i'm not surprised they make this stuff up.

too bad he's retiring.. not many left that's not us against them. it took three police cars and six officers to arrest my 5-ft wife outside of her job because she did not pay her tolls on time. took six brave men with badges and guns to take this hardened criminal off the street.

They even started a campaign against him with many lies and untruthful information. He "stole" 100k dollars, he was kicked out of his prior jobs as police officer (in fact he always left honorable) and even some jerks put everything on wikipedia with sources which are not available or some random video of he doing a traffic stop and being "violent". It's not just a huge loss for hawkins but also for texas because he built up a good image of the police work there. American police work always has a bad stand in international media but he showed europe how it can be done in a good way. Those officers got pretty rare. I wish that Discovery channel would also air this in the US, because it's by far better and more pleasent than the police shows that are currently on there where they call 30 backup units to arrest someone.

I could never be a cop, my life would depend on reputation of murders, I won't do that. Defund the Police movement had the right idea but they went about it wrong, there are good cops just too many bad, real bad.

Mind games - people who do wrong things are afraid of the police, they are suppose to be afraid. There are many good police - what are people going to do without the police - the people who do wrong things are intimidating the community and trying to control the police. Mind maniuplation - same as what the gangs do in third world countries. I lived in Holly Lake. there is a group of people who live in the community, who taunt people - and they are not afraid of the police doing anything - the bad people have power. If a person encounters a bad officer - they can be reported and dealt with legally. This man is violating this officers rights to do his job. The person shooting with the camera talks about his rights, what about other peoples rights.
