Really enjoyed the Ghostbusters (1984) reference at the beginning of the video, it's my all-time favorite movie. Despite never owning the original AWE Striker vehicle as a kid, it quickly became a favorite vehicle of mine when I revisited the Sunbow cartoon series and began reading the Marvel G.I. Joe comic books. As for the Eco Striker, I would say it is an okay vehicle despite the garish colors. I would think that any customizer could easily repaint and change it to look more like a military vehicle. The Stargate All Terrian Cruiser looks quite nice, shame it only seats one action figure. Never seizes to amaze me, just how many times Hasbro reused G.I. Joe vehicles and accessories for other toy lines they produced in the 1990's.

The ending of this video is better than the end of marvel movies! 😃👍🏻

The AWE striker is one of my all time favorite. I also liked the reissue that was done years later that came with a Pathfinder figure.

In 2014, the International G.I.Joe Collectors Club issued a 2nd ECO Striker as part of their convention exclusives. The ECO Striker V.2 was a repainted Ninja Commando 4x4; from the 2012 Retaliation toy line.

I didn't know the Eco Striker existed! It reminds me of a Hanna Barbera Cartoon that was about a dune buggy and his friends. The back sticker about not littering is funny.

This is very interesting and a entertaining video hcc788. For me though I prefer the Stargate version of the awe striker over captain Joe's and g.i planeteers one for sorta sticking to some military roots. The eco warriors one looks like something made for the toxic avenger cartoon toy line

Just as a major note, the Street Fighter figures and vehicles were labeled as GIJoe ones...they were, largely, barely modified GIJoe ones, normally from the various ninja sets (Such as Chun-Li being a repainted Scarlet with a new head. Which was one of the worst articulation with a crappy kicking action that wore out so the legs couldn't do anything more than move front and back, and she lacked anything with a waist so very few vehicles could be used with either of them... Also, the same time the Eco-Warriors stuff was coming out, there was a ninja line using the same kind of get wet and change color feature. Both lines had a lot of issues where the color change stopped working and the plastic becomes extremely brittle rather quickly there. There is a vehicle similar to the strikers described in the novels set in the movie timeline that came out right after it. For size, I believe the Stargate figures were the same size as the SGT Savage series...and, if I remember right, the same size as the Kenner Alien/Predator/AvP line and the Jurassic Park ones except for the foot pegs

Everyone else has more of a mix in their reviews. I don't even remember the ECO Striker (probably from still laughing over the SEPTIC TANK! LOL), and keep forgetting they reused the mold for StarGate. Now I'm thinking Hasbro could upscale the StarGate mold for Classified, using the one seat mold? IF they still have it? Curious. Second time in two days I've seen a reference to that Bilbo song.

I always wanted the Stargate figures but never got them . I do wish they had been more in scale with Joe I think they would of sold better. it is funny to note that both the card art on Daniels and Jacks figures boxes look like the actors the figures where trying to replicate.

I wonder if the missile launcher on the Stargate Cruiser is the same as the one on the Cobra Hammerhead.

Bro you gotta look at a toy for what it is. Kids like bright colors and power actions. They weren’t originally supposed to be collectors items to sit up on shelves. They were fun toys FOR KIDS.

Even if you don't like all the Joe toys from Eco Warriors, I have to admit, I do really like the cobra toys from Eco Warriors speciffically Toxo Viper v2 and Cesspool.

Actually a lot of us 90's kids loved GI Joe and had the toys I blame Hasbro for the line dying off because we didn't get a new cartoon to keep the franchise relevant

The AWE Striker is a great toy and even with that horrid color scheme it still looks pretty good. Star Gate the movie sucks but SG1 and Atlantis were awesome.... lets not speak of Universe. A few years ago I saw the AWE Striker and HISS at walmart. I wonder if it was the same mold from back in the day. If so Hasbro got their money out of it. Hasbro chose the wrong Star Gate toyline to back. They could have repurposed a lot of GI Joe stuff in an SG1/Atlantis line but some other company made those toys.

The irony is that the environmental movement's colour is green, the original colour of the vehicle.

The stargate one would have been better if the accent colors had been a gray or black shade. Or even a dark brown. The Eco is just too bright. I'm fairly forgiving for bright colors and such, but wow that blue is blinding.
