That is the first RCBS shotshell book I've seen . I use the 12S4 federal wad as my preferred wad for many loads .

It's an excellent choice for loads which have bulky payloads and bulky powder. If only one or the other is bulky, the 12S3 is the way to go. Most of the loads I use end up being the S3, but if I were hunting waterfowl or turkey, I would probably use more of the 12S4

It is by far the most useful book of shotgun load data. I would trade all of my other books, and all of the powder company data for it.

@@GunFunZS 73 BB's in a 12S4 is good waterfowl , turkey and would do some damage for home defense .

I’m sure you already know but Claybuster 12S3 clones have weird ridges on the inside of the petals and don’t stack the buck as well as real Federals.
