This was undoubtedly the highlight of SteamFest at the Niles Canyon Railway. The Niles Canyon Railway's three steam locomotives, Quincy Railroad Co. #2 (Alco 2-6-2T), Robert Dollar Co. #3 (Alco 2-6-2T), and Clover Valley Lumber Co. #4 (Baldwin 2-6-6-2T Mallet), and the two visiting locomotives, Mason County Logging Co. #7 (Baldwin 2-6-2T) and Santa Cruz Portland Cement #2 "Chiggen" (Porter 0-4-0T), all pulling a train together! We are first joined by the five steamers as they prepare for the event (with a special appearance from US Army #7348, the NCRy's GE 65-Ton Centercab) at Brightside Yard. We then see the NCRy's locomotives triplehead into Sunol and then perform a photo runby east of Sunol with the two visitors as "DPUs". We then catch the Mason County #7 and Santa Cruz Portland Cement #2 switch two the three NCRy steamers on the front of the train to create a true Quintuple Header for more photo runbys at Niles and in the Canyon.
