I must be getting old ..seeing these great classic actors… all gone now … brings a tear to my eye.

Elmer Bernstein wrote one of the most iconic songs of all time. The movie is a western masterpiece and the video was edited by a genius. Ending it with Steve McQueen's spontaneous smile makes the sum total the peak of a legendary moment.

The only theme tune that can reduce me to tears. Tears because I remember fondly the times I sat as a child, teenager and adult with my late father watching this. One of his favourite westerns. Then when I think how all the original seven have passed on too, I cry a little harder!

The best Western ever made.... With the biggest Stars and the coolest Soundtrack ever... RIP Steve McQueen, Yul Brynner, Charles Bronson, Brad Dexter, Horst Buchholz, Robert Vaughn and James Coburn... And last, but no least.. RIP Eli Wallach.

My dad showed me this movie when I was about 8 years old, and I was never the same. Magnificent 7 fueled my lifelong love for both Westerns and also team-up movies. Incredible soundtrack, amazing cast of stars, and one of the best scripts of all time. "I've been offered a lot for my work, but never everything." This film is the true meaning of a Classic.

Hey all. 20 year old here, born post 9/11. I've heard my grandfather play this tune on his sound system many times. Very powerful arrangement that will live forever. I'm an ice dancer and I'd love to incorporate parts of this theme song into a routine. Especially the coda...it blows me away every time I hear it.

all the people who grew up in the sixties will never accept a remake of the blockbuster movies, magnificent seven, spartacus, Benher, great escape, this was a truly great era best films great actors, best groups beatles, stones, the list goes on, I was 16 in 1960 and it left a lasting impression on my life.

The editing for this video was fantastic - from the synchronized gunshots at the beginning to Steve McQueen's smile at the end. I am not often impressed at all with the videos on youtube but my hat is off to whoever edited this - the video flows fantastically with the music.

It's a great film with best actors of Hollywood in 60', and upbeat music stays in your mind forever. The genious of America. For me, this film is a great moment of movie.

If Elmer Bernstein had never written another note, his place in movie history would be secure with this score. This ranks with the best film themes of any genre, and is possibly the greatest one for a Western, though it has some strong competition.

While watching a group riding horses in the Black Hills of South Dakota, this came to my mind. Excellent.

When I heard the san antonio symphony would be playing this I immediately purchased a ticket only for that reason & it was worth every penny! Nothing like hearing a fantastic orchestra perform it live!

I sat in the cinema waiting for the film to start when they played this tune, OMG, if you have not heard this in modern day cinemas you have not heard this as it should be heard , utterly deafening, loud and vivid, mind blowing and awesome.

This version of Magnificent 7 was as perfect as this story will ever be put on film. Some movies can never be re-made & they should stop trying.

I started a group for Divorced Dads a few years ago and this reminds me of how we got together and fought the system. Sadly, only a few of us survived the process, just like the movie.

Robert Vaughn walked past me in front of the nice old inn in Stockbridge, MA, many years ago. Never thought of the questions I could or should have asked him about this classic I saw in the theater during the first week it hit the screens nationwide 64 years ago (when I was 15).

The movie that set the standard and bar for all westerns to come after it. Incredible cast, brilliant story, magnificent music. One of the best if not the best westerns ever made and one of the greatest movie scores of all time. Simply a masterpiece.

I saw this in the theatre when I was 8 yrs old. I fell in love with Horst Buchholz at 8 yrs old. 🥰 My mother fell in love with Brad Dexter’s eyes.🥰I remember her saying how beautiful they were while watching the movie. Yule Bryner was THE MAN with that commanding walk/stride. My brother wanted to be Steve McQueen and my parents had to immediately buy him toy but realistic looking guns and rifles. -- and my poor father had to keep getting up in the theatre to replenish our popcorn, candy and Coca Colas. What a great childhood we had -- my brother and I -- and all of the kids in my average middle class neighborhood. We had no responsibilities except having fun, playing outside during the day and board games on weekend nights, sleep overs on Fridays and Saturdays and school during the week. All good kids and parents. They watched out for us all. If there is a God please take me back. I’m completely done with this world in 2022.

I saw this picture when I was very young and to me it was just another picture, just another good western. I did not realize that it was a classic. Now I do and it is good to recognize so. it means I have matured. I now can appreciate how good of a film it is. It s values and its message as well as how it was made. I am glad.

These were the stars I watched growing up in the 60s. As little boys we saw them as icons of masculinity, courage and kindness. Most of the current actors are movie midgets in comparison.

The story was such a classic that it was easy to remake it as something just as special. I've seen both Magnificent Seven and the Seven Samurai. They both are classic movies that both work.

I saw this movie as a kid with my older bother. The sound track blew me away then, and it still does every time I hear it. I've lost track of how many times I've seen this movie, but it never gets old. What amazes me is that you could put Yul Brynner in a leading role in a western, and cast a young German actor, Horst Buchholz as a native hispanic farmer, and still make it work. Yet it does. Steve McQueen and Yul Brynner did not get along - at all. McQueen wanted top billing, which irritated Brynner no end. Also, some of the cast members used to play poker at the end of each day of shooting. Brad Dexter was said to have been a lousy card player, yet he always came back for more abuse. And Eli Wallach's "bandito" extras liked being in his outlaw gang - a real source of pride for them. In the end, what a movie, with one of the greatest musical scores ever composed.

What an awesome movie! I loved it as a kid and love it even more as an old woman. I also like the irony of Yul Brynner, a Russian from Vladivistok, starring as an American cowboy in a classic western. Of course, Brynner also played the role of Taras Bulba, A Ukrainian Kozak, which was a bit "closer to home" for him. He was equally awesome in both movies.

This musical score is sheer musical brilliance. He was able to capture the essence of the American west with instruments. Genius composer.

Great actors, great direction, beautiful landscapes and a superb musical theme full of optimism and hope that gets you pumped up like few others... Thank you so much for this montage, beautiful tribute to a timeless masterpiece!👍👍👍👏👏👏
