The governor of Niger State in all his wisdom and good intention for his home state of Niger and Nigeria at large should desist from taking any deal that would warrant the acceptance of plant seeds, seedlings e.t.c from any foreign country especially in the west in general if he values the health of the people of Niger State and the entire Nigeria.

Absolutely CORRECT 💯. You can be sure that AMERICA is getting the best deal out of this. The seed will be HYBRID. This means that you can't use the produced seeds and plant it for the next year. You will have to BUY fresh seed in.

The government of Nigeria must ensure that they have good control of Fertilizer usage by monitoring how they are used in all these products. Just bring the Chinese farmers it would have been much cheaper. Let them do the farming, Nigerians are all about getting rich fast. Anytime subsided by the government only, without experienced workers is doomed from the start. Agriculture is a job of patience and acceptance of loss and hardship. You can't train people to be like that, it's transferred by genes and education.

Form an association to join up different agencies and the agri sectors. Science is big in farming that even the metrological department work out and give early warning snd advice to reduce loss. Crop rotation and desease control is also very important. Pay your workers well so that they too can afford to buy food too. I hope that pople are rained to maintan those equipment. It would b even better if ome equipment cn be manufactured locally

Don't go for highly mechanised farming, might be difficult to maintain. Let people too get involved in manual farming so they too will know the technique of growing food vegetables and Fruits.
