yeah it was his chance to just let loose, and say things he'd never get away with on the radio or other TV programmes. It was own little party night! It was the perfect place for it, Eurovision after all is just a silly, camp, bizarre spectacle anyway lol I've got great memories of Wogan commentating this throughout my childhood and beyond

Rob singing with Tom Jones was from Children in Need, an annual funding event in the U.K. funnily enough started by Terry Wogan decades ago. It raises millions of £s for children’s charities, lots of celebrities, special editions of popular shows and the public fund raising. All good stuff! Xx Great reaction as always! PS The One Show mentioned in this is a daily early evening show, people take the mickey out of it cause it jumps from topic to topic - eg saving dogs to baking cakes in Gloucester to suicide in Llandudno to Lee Mack’s latest show! It is hilarious when Hollywood celebrities come on the show and sit there wondering what the hell is going on!! It’s brilliant! Xx❤️🇬🇧

When Terry Wogan (a man of tremendous wit) presented Eurovision he used to spend the whole time subtly (sometimes not so subtly) taking the piss out of every act - it's the only reason I (and many other people in the UK) watched it. This could be the reason why the UK invariably scores zero points (that and also because we do enter some really crap songs).

The whole episode is really great if you like non-gory cozy murder mysteries. EDIT: I'm just going to go watch it because I watched your Rob video! I've talked myself into it, even though I know who the murderer is, the cast is great! Besides I watch your videos every Saturday to avoid the horrible news that I see all week, so this will be a continuation of that!

Basically, Eurovision is a laugh/pantomime that we all embrace. It would have sunk into oblivion - in the UK - if it hadn't been for Terry Wogan.
