Hi Ren is his masterpiece at this point. First, it's long, but by the time it's done, you feel like it went by so fast. It's less like a 9 minute lengthy song and more like a 9 minute condensed broadway play. Second, there's all the deeper meaning in the lyrics that raises it up to a great track, and then you learn the deeper meaning it all has to the artist, how it's more real to him than the just the broader symbolism. A masterpiece

I’m glad KH went down this rabbit hole because he has been my personal guide the past few hours. Ren is freaking amazing and I have been a roller coaster of emotions. I’ve been in a battle with acknowledging I have some problem and I’m not sure what it is but I have not been myself in ages and feel so disconnected with my body. So many things he has covered is hitting hard.

CONFESSION: I never liked rap, nor did I fully understand the genre. Fast forward to last year when I randomly stumbled upon you doing a Tom MacDonald reaction. It was the first rapper that got my attention and I wanted to hear more, so I went down a rabbit hole on your channel; and in the process you helped me understand the intricacies of rap and appreciate the talent that it takes. Since then I’ve found many other rap artists that I love - yourself included. I now have a great appreciation for the art of rap thanks to you breaking things down the way you do. Now I can proudly say I love rap. I’m regards to Ren, he has quickly become one of my favorite artists, and I’m always excited when I see that you dropped a new Ren reaction. Looking forward to seeing more!

Another great British hip hip artist is The Streets and he's still dropping new stuff after 20+ years since I first heard him. Mike Skinner is awesome and Ren has shouted him out on his channel. I met Mike before he dropped his first album "original pirate material." I'd bought the album before I realised it was the same exact same geezer who would always be where the good music was when he lived in Australia in the late 90s. He looked out for us kids!

Very true, but what you do need if you don’t have any of that is a f**k load of talent - which he has in abundance. We all know Ren is an absolute insane talent so I don't really need to speak on that. I just want to speak on how ridiculously amazing your reactions are. Finding Ren has legitimately changed my life. My father was a blues musician, so music has always meant a lot to me. Ren is one of the few artists that I legitimately feel. Music Forever! 🤟🤟🤘🤘. It's one of the only things nowadays that can actually unite us.

Knox, what an amazing reaction. My favourite one of Genesis by far. Thanks for breaking down the different Genesis meanings. The thumbnail for this one is a white background with a snake's head ready to bite. The thumbnail for Sick Boi is a white background with the pig's head in a similar colour scheme and style. Ren has another song coming out on the 29th of March, and I wouldn't be surprised if we have another white background with another animal on that thumbnail. He is definitely telling his story in a much more programmatic way in these. Great breakdown of the rhyme schemes as well as thoughts on the filming. Also congratulations on the new song. Your own new music so good as well. I am really enjoying it.

Knox, you are one of the best reactors, a competent explainer of music, lyrics and production. I am late to gaining an appreciation for rap and hip hop. I am one of those older guys (a still young at heart grandad) who for decades thought of rap as non-music, misogynistic, trivial, and more than once referred to it as a “societal ill”. It was my loss. You and others are helping to guide my new found appreciation of this important art form. While I have few regrets in the choices I have made, I do believe my 20s and 30s might have been a little more interesting had my play lists included artist like Public Enemy and Beastie Boys. Ren is a newer revelation. Love this gifted young man’s work. Thank you for including him in your line up. Keep up the great work!

I watched so many reactions to Ren songs due to Hi Ren, probably around 50 already, and yours is really good. So as a Ren fan, I naturally looked at your other reactions to his songs. I have to say, your reactions are great, one of my favourites. You have lots of valuable things to add, you're enjoying yourself, you go back a few seconds whenever you pause the video so you don't miss anything, and I love how you take your time to look at many individual parts of the songs - from the lyrics to the rhyme scheems to the visuals. That's not a dig at other reaction channels, but I really appreciate how much you offer for people who already know the song. Those videos of yours are actually content. Thank you for that. If you haven't already, you should definitely check out Money Game Part 1 and 2. It's not a coincidence that Part 2 is Rens most viewed video... Hey, talking of 007, Listen to Ren's "Love Music, Pt. 2" At around 3:00, a random quip, "You're losing the plot more than Quantum of Solace," starts an avalanche of increasingly labored bars based on James Bond film titles and it goes on and on and on, way too long, literally for like a minute, and just when you think he's done, it's like he remembers more Bond movies and goes off again. It's deliberate, it's so Bo Burnham imho, and it's absolutely hilarious!

The "drop & break/reverberating shatter" sound effect reminds me of the duality in being both physically delicate but so strong-willed that you're going harder than most to break the glass ceiling... Really good breakdown as always Knox. Ren describes himself as agnostic. As you noticed, Ren has the music on him. It was discussed in a Twitch video where him and Samuel Perry-Falvey discussed all the videos they’d made together in order. Also. Ren can’t eat those Battered sausage? Chips and mushy pea’s. He’s currently allergic to them. Really hoping he’ll be able to enjoy more after his treatment without reacting. There is a Drum and Bass version of this too. 🐇🕳️🖤

Thank you for your break down of Ren's music. I normally don't pay attention to lyrics, I just focus on the sound and just perceive the words as notes only, like an instrument. When I heard Hi Ren, it was the first time in a long while that I cared about about the lyrics. But I've paid attention to Ren's lyrics and you help understand some of the lyrics as well as the technical break down of the rapping. The rapping part, I'd never even thought about before.
