First genesis reaction I’ve seen where someone actually wants to pick through it. So many bits get me. The “uhuh, mmhmm” The guttural “ahah” when ren jumps up from his chair. Love every version of this track, nice reaction 👌

At the start where he looks like he is going to eat the chips is also part of his story. He can eat chicken and a few vegetables only. This sets the scene for his describing the rest of this reflection. Powerful.

It's the little nuances isn' it, a msg in every scene and verse. Ren is an enigma. I hate to compare, but he does play guitar like a God, sings like a freaking Angel, writes songs like he's Shakespeare, storytells them like he's hired by the KIng to entertain him. Rap's like he's standing next to Eminem and TechN9ne. Acts like he's an Oscar's nominee. Produces like he's Dre. Addresses all humanities issues, and with honesty, and a rawness. Jaw on the floor good. A once in every 20 years artist/band. Who can appeal to a 16 year old and an 80 year simultaneously. Incredible. And........... an artist who no-one can box or label. Peace and love fellow Ren disciple, @JW, if I was gonna join a cult, it would be Ren's, I raise my fist to the anti capitalistic pi**ed. His lyrics and bars are spot on phew. Needing a scuba tank I been so long down Ren's rabbit hole😂

I am thankful that we have platform's like this that allows music to be seen,cause I never would have known artists like Ren and others,cause this Ren music is a blessing, I normally don't listen to heavy accents artists, no disrespect it's because I can't follow the lyrics and that's pointless to just like a beat....But he's crisp and clear,the guy is so musically talented

I was very hard of hearing since birth, I have Bluetooth hearing aids now. I just got in the habit of reading the lyrics, that habit stays with me, even though the hearing aids make words much clearer .

@@toniyoung5131 I am with you,I enjoy lyric videos the most,seeing it as the artist says it gives me a better understanding with what they are saying and I can follow the message/meaning of the content,hell the more lyrical artists I'll listen to a new track a few times pick up what i can then i get om here to my go to's and get all that I missed,alot of times I'll watch same song from 4 different reactors and get 4 different takes but then I'll piece shit together to get 1 final thought on that song.....sorry for the book i just replied with lol damn music will do that

Ren was misdiagnosed years ago , he was bed ridden with 23hrs in bed. He was sycotic with alot of mental illness, he also had alot of general illness. 7 years after it started he was told he had been bitten by a Tick and had Lyme Disease, Ren is in Canada for special treatment possibly including operations. I'm sure we all wish him well and that the Canadian treatment helps.

Ya its soo sad but it's true he did get dropped as soon as they heard he was ill... this man is a lyrical genius and paints such vivid imagery when he tells his stories... love his music and it hits home for me on some topics and I try and share his music with anyone I know dealing with similar things in their life... listen to his music and everyone has something they can relate to in them.... props for the reaction bro and props to ren for doing what he does best 👌

I think in the last few lines of the opening "I'm put on life support, I've been put up on a higher shelf" he's talking about the people around him. A very common theme for mental health is those around you compensating for you, hence the life support, and setting high expectations for you, hence the higher shelf. I think it's supposed to be a commentary on how those things can be detrimental. Falling short of those expectations, or learning to rely on that life support too much can be just as bad as the mental health in the first place. The whole song is amazing but those two lines always hit home for me.

Thank you. I'm down the Ren rabbit hole too and it's great to find other people that feel the same way. I'm kind of blown away by him and have to stop myself watching too many videos because I have ADHD and I can get pretty hyper focused on things I like and then i can't actually focus on anything else! I'm dreaming about tracksuits at this point due to watching so many reactions to his music!

If I understand correctly, Ren had a deal with Sony, and they dropped him when he got sick. My 23 yr old son showed me Hi Ren 2 weeks ago and have been stuck in this dude since. Super talented.

From what I read, Ren was signed to Sony years ago and they dropped him after his misdiagnosis of schizophrenia. "Sick Boi" covers some of his experience there, but also "Money Game pt 2".
