In today’s episode, Becket chats with Bruce Van Natta about his incredible near-death experience. He was crushed underneath a semi-truck and his spirit left his body and hovered up at the ceiling as he watched two angels ministering to his lifeless body under the truck. He eventually came back to life in a miraculous way.

ABOUT BECKET:
Becket Cook was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended Jesuit College Preparatory
School of Dallas. After graduating from college, Becket moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of writing and acting, finding success in both. He eventually went on to become a production designer working with the top photographers and directors in the world on fashion shoots for magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and for ad campaigns such as Gap, L'Oréal Paris, and Nike.
Finding a new sense of freedom in L.A., Becket also fully engaged in his new life as a gay man. He had a series of many relationships with men throughout the next fifteen years.
In September of 2009, Becket met a stranger at a coffee shop in Silver Lake who invited him to his church in Hollywood called Reality L.A. Becket reluctantly agreed to attend the service. After hearing the sermon that Sunday, Becket was utterly transformed by the gospel and gave his life to Christ. He also knew on that day when God revealed Himself to him that homosexuality was a sin and that he could no longer live that life. Becket was more than happy to count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus his Lord.
Becket spends much of his time in ministry speaking at churches, universities, and conferences helping believers (and non-believers) understand this issue biblically, theologically, culturally, and personally. Balancing grace and truth when teaching on this subject is of primary importance. His goal is to challenge the current cultural narrative about sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular by demonstrating through his personal testimony and biblical truths that, yes, homosexuality is still a sin, and that following Christ is infinitely more satisfying and joyous.
He has lived all over the world in major cities such as Rome, Vienna, and Tokyo.
Becket graduated from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in 2017 with a Master of Arts in Theology.
Becket’s book, A Change of Affection: A Gay Man’s Incredible Story of Redemption, with a
foreword by Francis Chan, published by Thomas Nelson, released July 30, 2019.

@@TheChristianHouse-2022 If you were right, I would agree with you… clearly, you don’t read or understand the Word of God. I will pray that the Lord will give you a hunger for the Word of God who is Christ Jesus. The Bible speaks of many different accounts of someone who had died, yet was brought back. Right off the top of my head… firstly, Jesus Himself resurrected after three days, Lazarus, who was dead for three days, was brought back, also a young child was brought back. At the time of the Rapture, the dead in Christ shall rise first, (from their graves, etc…) then we who are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP (Harpazo) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thess 4:13-18 I am aware the word rapture isn’t in scripture… but Harpazo means to be CAUGHT UP, (Rapture in the Greek). Thank you for your comment ~

Hello. I had an experience where I cried out to the lord for help, living as an alcoholic. I got so sick and I couldn't continue drinking. To cut a long story short I now have eight years of sobriety. Thanks to the lord. I believe I've been saved. My life is so much better. I have felt a presence of something which I believe to be the lord in my life. I'm not going back.

If you haven't already, find a Bible- believing church to go to regularly and read your Bible to discover more about this wonderful Lord who delivered you. The devil will want to drag you back down so you need to stay very close to God. May God continue to bless you.

Me too, I was an alcoholic for years, I cried out many times until one day the Lord said in the spirit if you get on your knees now I will deliver you. I did and I was completely delivered, not even tempted afterwards. A year and a half ago. It really was a miracle because I thought I would die like this. The Lord always comes through, it’s in His timing. Just keep coming to Him.

At 55 years of age, our son was ran over and crushed by a tractor. He had lived a tough life but did love Jesus. He was saved, even though he struggled with the sin of addiction. He was facing 2 court cases that carried about 6 years together. He had already been in and out of jails and prison numerous times. He also was incredibly gifted mechanically. He had the mind of an engineer without schooling. He could look at something and figure out how to make it with scraps. He had a most loving heart... so tender hearted. Loved his children dearly (all teens). When he was crushed, his cell phone was in his shirt pocket and was crushed as well. This happened on a Friday afternoon. Someone at the scene brought his cell phone to me. The screen was gone. You could see the inner parts of the phone. There was no way to make a phone call. Yet that Saturday morning, with his crushed phone sitting on my nightstand, I received a phone call from our son from that phone. Couldn't answer of course. His death was pronounced that day. I like to think this was a son letting his dad and stepmom know that he had made it home and was safe.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I can tell that he was a very talented, loving person, and loved his family deeply. I am a very tender hearted person and the death of loved ones affects me profoundly. I cry in front of strangers. I don’t care what anyone thinks. I think it is more damaging to hold your pain in. Even though, I know the pain of losing him will hurt until the day that you die and long to see him in heaven one day. I pray God comforts and strengthens you, and increases your faith in him until he takes us all home to be with him.🙏

Thank you so much for this show. It has been a blessing in so many ways . I’m 90 years old and have been an intercessor since I was 13. In my recent years God has called me to pray for those who have no one to pray for them. It is programs like this that God shows me how effective this is. He calls for the incarcerated, the abused, the persecuted, and the list is vast. Praise God for technology that is used for His glory. God bless you Becket and all your guest.

At this time my greatest burden is for the children who are being mislead by Satans minions. They are being abused, drugged and dismembered by the "authorities" in medicine and education. Check out a girl who Beckett interviewed by the name of Sophia Galvin. Pray for her ministry please.

We are pray8ng that tge Lord continue to move on her heart and deliver her from same sex attraction. I just love your podcast and the stories you have shared of your own deliverance. I share some of these NDEs but with care. It takes so much discernment but God has led me to do it. So many say the Bible comes alive to them after they come back. It is always our anchor as you know.🙏🏻❤️✝️ Wow I just finished this whole episode and I just want to wrap my arms around you both for what you went through as children 😢. Praise God for making a way for healing. I can only imagine anyone who has been through the same trauma would hear this and get so much hope that healing is possible. You guys are still here because we need you and we need your testimony. I know how selfish that sounds, but God led me to Beckett's show when I was in such a dark place and Beckett's testimony (along with other things God brought into my life) was part of my journey that gave me strength to keep going. Along with the visceral feeling that my kids needed me. In the 4 years since that time in my life, I have gained so much. My marriage was saved, I was saved and my kids are doing well in spite of me being at my worst back then. This episode was such an encouragement. I know how hard it is to be open and raw with testimony. I don't take it lightly and I know the dark feelings come along with that honesty. So please know that I am thankful for strong men that speak up. And thankful for strong wives and family to support them. So many people had their faith strengthened because Bruce chose to fight ❤

I was so bless by both your testimonies Bruce and Becket. I was also inspired by the prayer warrior who prayed to move mountains. He praised for Bruce’s intestine to grow back. Wow what faith! Also the EMT worker who prayed Bruce back to life again! What amazing faith! I am going to start praying for the mountains in my life to be removed. Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened 🙏

Oh, Becket! We may not be family, but you would leave behind a huge void here if Jesus took you home now. He is using you and your story to touch many people, people who will be part of our eternal family someday.

This whole story captivated me. Wow! And to think, had he gone into ministry as his wife suggested and never returned to his job, maybe he could have had some sort of ministry and connection with people. But this horrific accident with all the pain and ups and downs but more importantly, the miracles, has given him a story that few people could deny. The Lord is using him mightily and He is using you too Becket. Thanks so much for podcast. You always bring us people and information that is an honor to the Lord and edifying to us. Bless you both.
