Based on what? Laporta has said a few days ago he supports Xavi. The players just a few days ago said they support Xavi. Last season they won the league for the first time since 2018-2019 season. They also won Supercopa last season. Its a dangerous thing to think someone should be fired a season after winning 2 trophies. A season where there has been some key injuries. A season where Barca is still broke and can't afford to bring in big enough names to fill positions they are weak at. Barca can't sign a Mbappe. So should Barca just hop from coach to coach until they are financially stable? Sounds like a bad idea.

I hope Rafa does not do that and instead uses his experience from coaching Barca B to another mid-table team in La Liga. This may be career suicide because Marquez won't have that many chances if he starts off on thew wrong foot. I do think Marquez has the know how as he played as a Cdm and Cb during his time in Barcelona.

There is much blame to go around. First the players are not producing or showing up. Next, Xavi needs to motivate these players to do their jobs. Last and perhaps most important, Xavi doesn't have the full range of options because Barca is broke and can't spend money to get what they need. All in all, it is one big mess.

If this Rafa Martinez formed Yamal, Fermin, Cubarsi, Faye, Fort, etc...in my book he deserves 100% to get the position of Barca senior team coach. In addition these kids have the phisicality to compete against tall strong players like Valverde, Canavinga, Benningham who are all young and very competitive. These kidd are much better then Ferran, Gavi, Pedri, Fatty who shoul be all sold to the highest bidder. The time for liliputians in Barca are gone.
