@Robin.Greenfield, I celebrate you for living life on your terms! I’m a minimalist as well (not an extreme one though), and I relate with a lot of what you shared in this video especially regarding consumerism that’s incessantly fed to us daily. You exude such genuineness and calmness and I’m here for it!! 🙌🏾 #Minimalism

He has a good heart about things. I am not sure many could give so much energy to this lifestyle like he does. So even if we judge, most of us cannot and will never have the will power and discipline to live this way. He has a conviction and found something to live for. Our privileges come at the expense of others disadvantage. Even the earth pays for our everyday conveniences.

If all of us did one tenth of what he does the world would be a better place... I've learned alot from him..on how to be a minimalist....and although I have downsized extremely... I still have too much " stuff".. ( most) of it is stuff I need in the circumstance I'm in ATM, but, it's still too much... Most people would walk in my house and think I'm " poor" trust me... I think I'm unencumbered 🤣 Love Rob and what he does.

Family and friends are constantly worrying me about when I am going to fully redecorate and I tell them I am a minimalist now and they don’t believe me! I have to tell my girlfriends to stop buying stuff for me because I don’t want the clutter and they be so hurt but I am serious, I don’t want 5 sets of dishes and glasses anymore. Kitchen, closet/clothes etc/, garage and put a big trash bag in there and and everytime you go in that area select at least 2 items you have no use for anymore and put it in the bag, add a Event to your calendar to repeat monthly to take to a donation center and keep doing this and you will eliminate more and more each week, it will increase from 2 to 5 items easily

Maybe you can start by committing to buying nothing (except food) for a certain amount of months. Or if you need something, look 1st at thrift stores or neighbor swap sites. You can start adding environmental swaps to your routine, like bamboo TP instead of regular tree TP or take your own bags grocery shopping. If there's anyplace you can walk or bicycle to, try that instead of driving. If you've never been, try camping. Some places have cabins or yurts to rent - see what if anything you miss. ONE STEP AT A TIME.
