Aztecs lived by a different code and being part of a sacrifice to appease the gods was seen as an honor, but from today's standards, the rituals of the Aztecs are seen as extreme and horrifying! Check out some of the craziest things the Aztecs did that were just part of their daily life.

@Darnell Green The Aztecs were at war with the Spaniards.. and it was mostly smallpox that killed them, not Europeans.. do you really think people are inventing the history of ancient civilizations to try and create racism in the modern day..? That literally makes no sense homie
@indianajones4794

@Darnell Green Dude are you trying to score points off a detail of what I said or educate yourself on a topic you’re clearly lacking info on. I’m not defending all the actions taken by the Spaniards, not a chance, but you’re actually crazy if you think they made up all the details of child sacrifice and skin wearing rituals to try and perpetuate racism. There are literal carvings on their monuments of human sacrifice. I’m not saying what the Spaniards did was good but I’m also not saying the native Americans (Aztecs) were some peaceful people when they were literally skinning children alive.

@@didostempest2966 It wasn't so much exaggerated as they caught them during a time of incredibly violent civil war because of how many members of their noble and priest caste had succumbed to the numerous diseases brought, and it wasn't at all uncommon to offer up warriors killed in battle to the gods. So they mistake what was just ritualistically executing prisoners of war and political enemies as the day to day religious action. Not that you'll catch me trying to justify ritual human sacrifice, I mean, they were basically every pagan horror story given flesh.
