Will Burgess is such an amazing and sweet spirit to be around, interviewing him with such a joy. during this interview, he goes into the process of him, finding his genealogy, despite being adopted and coming to the continent of Africa, to find himself and his roots. he started his journey in South Africa, but ended up in Nigeria so of course we had to spend some time getting to no one another, and it has been one of the most pleasant visits ever. even though we did not discuss this during the interview he actually just purchased a house in South Africa through a mortgage program and would be a really good resource for anyone looking to do the same whether it be to live there or as an investment company. make sure that you comment below and leave some love. Reach out to this brother and follow his page.

Hey Brittney, I am a Nigerian American that has lived in the USA for almost 30’years originally from Benin City. I agree with you that Nigeria is trying to make it difficult for AS’s to come to Nigeria, same way it’s extremely difficult for us to get visas to come to America. @AfricasRealities Last month, a fellow student of my brother was killed in an Airbnb by a Nigerian national. He dismembered her, and stuffed her remains in polyethene bags. The police intercepted him at JKIA while trying to flee to Abuja. It's these type of incidents that tarnish Nigerian people's names. Kenyans aren't hateful people, but when your criminals consistently abuse our hospitality, it affects the whole community. Nowadays Nigerians are harassed at the Airport because they've caused so much trouble in a short time. KZfaqr Tayo Aino was recently asked to pay an extra $50 unless he wanted to be framed for carrying drugs. When this happened, several of his compatriots complained about the provocative procedures at JKIA under the pretext of inspection and security concerns.

@AfricasRealities I haven't seen my own sister and children in four years due to her Nigerian boyfriend, who told her to cut off the family. I have no idea whether she's dead or alive because she's changed her name. As an African, that man should have called my parents the moment he impregnated her, but he never bothered. In our culture, it's a disgrace to impregnate someone's daughter if you don't have the intention of marrying her. As far as we're concerned, those kids are not his because he hasn't even paid dowry. Last time we spoke, she was crying because he beat the breaks out of her, his brother is just as abusive.

Ok! Love you! I hate how people call Africa a country. Yet Germany, Iceland or Ireland can have their autonomy but still be European. As a Kenyan you will never have my DNA. We also want our autonomy, but just like Europeans, we love eachother. Sometimes African Americans come to Kenya and expect an atmosphere of return, but we did not sell you!! That can trip you up! But, we love you as black Africans anyway!

@Colourbash
@Colourbash 5 ай бұрын
@@mitzi4043I agree we all have a lot to learn. I just wanted to expand on this. You share DNA with someone who in this day and age is a Luhya in Kenya. But, people move around too, many migrations have happened (even not so historical ones from drought, war, even marriages within these movements etc) - Kenya is one of those melting pots for these types of histories. So it's not necessarily the that your ancestor was from this particular place. It may just emphasize how dispersed certain groups (or we all) have become.

False, there can't be more Yorubas in Brazil than in Nigeria. The Yorubas are the second largest tribe in Nigeria. South West Nigeria is the homeland of the Yoruba tribe with over 50million Yorubas.
@ebsla2906
@ebsla2906 5 ай бұрын
You are right about that. Nigeria has the largest population of Yoruba tribe with more than 40 million, and it's their homebase (there are a couple millions in the neighboring countries of Benin Republic and Togo, in areas that was part of old Yoruba kingdom) But what's right is a lot of those taken into slavery to Brazil were of Yoruba origin, and as a result their descendants retained some of the Yoruba culture, traditional believes, and still worship old Yoruba religion/deities/gods. When I first saw the video, I thought she looked Yoruba, so that DNA result must be accurate. I'm a Yoruba woman but I live in USA. Anyway, it's nice they both feel comfortable and enjoy visiting Nigeria. They will blend in walking around Lagos where I'm from, until they talk with an accent. She has a Yoruba look, and he looks similar to Igbo tribe and some in Delta region. Your name "Chibuzor" is Igbo and may have noticed that too.

Despite my primarily Nigerian DNA, I'm American AF all day. I wish I would go to somebody else's country begging for entry! He's bending over backwards to make excuses for people who see him as a foreigner and feel the same way about other tribes in the same country. It's been that way for centuries. That's how we got sold for trinkets. I would love to see African nations bridge their own gaps - within and across borders. Now, that would be splendid!!!

I literally feel the same way, but it sucks because I’m kind of obligated to be here but it’s just crazy. They literally treat you like you don’t belong here or like you’ve done something wrong.

@@BrittneyCaldwell Nigeria don't give anyone special status no matter where you come from, because as you been in now and you will notice that Nigeria don't differentiate any Black person from his country of origin, for Nigeria see every Black persons in her territory as Nigerian and moreover Nigeria have huge diaspora populations which makes it difficult to differentiate between African Americans or Nigerians diaspora, therefore Nigeria is not like others sub Sahara Africa countries which differentiate Black person in theirs territory.

America is all you need; because it everything that you can find anywhere in the world. 50 states plus territories. So many places to move to without a passport or visa. Why do you want leave all that behind to go to tiny African country where there is no freedom of speech or choice? I'm from Africa and I don't imagine myself living in Africa, even when I visit there, I'm always in a hurry to come back. This African ancestry DNA does not mean anything. Remember when your ancestries came to America, there was not any country in Africa. Also back then people migrate from region to region running away from the brutal African kings who were enslaving them and killing them. Africa is complicated than you guys think. When you are from the west, they considered a white person. You may think you belong there, but in reality they look at you as a white person.

America is already developed, Africa is the future for entrepeneurs who look for quality of life. Not everyone wants to work themselves to death. Work in America and invest back home. Just staying there is pointless. The quality of life in the West is overrated unless you're in the higher income bracket, in Africa your money goes further.

I think that this makes sense, but I agree with the comment below when I say that it’s truly a quality of life I do not support capitalism and I do not want to die working myself to the bone in my go further in other places

Nigeria don't give anyone special status no matter where you come from, because Nigeria have over 250 tribes with her huge diaspora populations which makes it harder to differentiate between African Americans and Nigeria diaspora, also Nigeria see any Black person in Nigeria as Nigerians.

@@kr3539 you must be a joker, even Caucasian yutubers confess that Nigeria doesn't gives any special treatment no matter where you come from, because we get any classes of personality already in Nigeria. Therefore no one will notice you in Nigeria except peoples you visited, ok
