✨Rent from Local Landlords: If possible, rent from local landlords rather than large property management companies. This can help ensure that your rent money is going back into the local economy. ✨Utilize the People Around You: Double check when making purchases. Make sure that you are not overpaying. Overpaying tends to drive prices up for everyone in the community and can affect others more than you would think, in the long run. ASK. FOR. LOCAL. PRICES from someone who would KNOW. ✨Be Mindful of Your Impact: Be aware of how your presence and actions might affect the local community. For example, avoid driving up property values by overpaying for housing or making extensive renovations that could lead to increased property taxes for long-time residents. ✨Research and Understand the Community: Before moving, take the time to learn about the history, culture, and current socio-economic conditions of the neighborhood. Understanding the community’s needs and challenges can help you make more informed decisions. ✨Support Local Businesses: Instead of frequenting large chain stores or international brands, try to support local businesses, restaurants, and markets. This helps keep money within the community and supports local entrepreneurs. ✨Engage with the Community: Get involved in community activities and events. Building relationships with your neighbors and participating in local initiatives can help you become a part of the community rather than an “expat”- or outsider. ✨Educate Yourself and Others Stay informed about the broader issues of gentrification and share this knowledge with other expats and newcomers. Raising awareness can help create a more conscientious and responsible community of expats. #expatlife #blackexpat #expat #expatliving #blackexpats #blaxit #expatlifestyle #softlife

💰 Buying land outside of your home country has a lot of benefits. Owning in the US is great, but other countries offer more for less, lower costs of living and more advantageous tax incentives. Here’s some benefits: 🏡High Returns: Emerging markets, particularly in developing countries, can offer high returns on investment due to rapid economic growth and increasing property values. 🏡Vacation Home: Purchasing land in a desirable location can provide you with a vacation home, saving on accommodation costs during holidays and potentially generating rental income when you’re not using it. Why Airbnb when you can just use your own spot? 🏡Retirement Plans: Some people buy land abroad with the intention of retiring there. This can be particularly appealing if the cost of living is lower or if the location offers a better quality of life. 🏡Diversification of Assets: Owning property in different countries can diversify your investment portfolio, reducing risk by spreading your assets across various markets instead of putting your hope into one housing market ONLY. 🏡Citizenship and Residency: In some countries, buying property can be a pathway to obtaining residency or even citizenship. Duh, why not? 🏡Agricultural Opportunities In certain regions, agricultural land can be very affordable and offer opportunities for farming or other agricultural ventures, which can be both profitable and sustainable. Hello side hustle!!!!! 🏡Tax Benefits Some countries offer tax incentives for foreign investors, which can make buying land more attractive from a financial perspective. It’s important to consult a reputable and REAL company. Don’t be cheap and avoid fees going with someone who knows someone who knows someone. It’ll end badly. 🏡Citizenship and Residency: In some countries, buying property can be a pathway to obtaining residency or even citizenship. Duh, why not? #landowner #realestate #buyland #investing #invest #investinafrica #expatlife #expat #panafrican #panafricanism Do you own land in another country? How has that been for you?

They treat people poorly! In 2006, we were in India and at the airport shop, I wanted to buy a souvenir and the salesperson insulted me. They think that in America, you can do whatever you want. That's not true! Americans are hard-working people and don't tolerate such behavior! Such behavior is a crime! I saw another video where a group of men almost kidnapped her small daughter. I was planning to visit Egypt and now I would never visit! Scary place to be in!

🇬🇭Ghana: Under its ‘Right of Abode’ policy, it grants the right to stay indefinitely for individuals of African descent, especially targeting African Americans and Afro-Caribbeans. 🇿🇦South Africa: In a recent move, the nation has taken an unprecedented step in strengthening its diaspora ties by offering free citizenship to Black Americans. 🇿🇼Zimbabwe: Zimbabwe’s government has simplified the citizenship process for Black Americans interested in this offer. Traditional barriers, such as prolonged residency prerequisites, financial investments, or tedious bureaucratic procedures, have been significantly reduced or eliminated. 🇸🇱Sierra Leone, 🇬🇦Gabon AND 🇨🇻Cape Verde ALL offer citizenship by descent to individuals who can prove their lineage. @africanancestry can help with that! Upon proving ancestry, individuals can obtain full citizenship. Various cultural immersion programs to help new citizens assimilate. 🇰🇪Kenya: While the process of gaining Kenyan citizenship isn’t straightforward, there are provisions for people of African descent to apply. Kenya’s constitution allows for persons who can prove Kenyan ancestry or have legally resided in Kenya for a specific period to seek naturalization. #project2025 #trump #biden #blaxit #blackexpat #blackexpats #expat #expatlife #expatliving 😃 Which country would you be most interested in moving to?
