The gopro doesn't show it but Remy is only maybe at max 2-3 bike lengths behind the people he follows. That means that instead of having several seconds of time to react to an upcoming feature, he has only fractions of a second to act because of the rider ahead blocking his view. You are a surgeon on the bike with some crazy cat-like reflexes dude. Major props to you!

Brakes chain in the middle of nowhere, still smiling. Then later puts his gum shield in the same pocket as the broken chain. Yuck! but still smiling! Very impressive riding to keep the speed

I feel like I have never seen Ebikes ridden on this level of aggressive terrain. In both steep and rough. I imagine the extra weight would make the trail feel smoother, considering the momentum.

Gwin took his intense down Kong.. They can handle every bit as much as a regular bike maybe even more because they have to be tuned for the extra weight too. They eat up a lot of components though. Worth every penny though.

Would be an interesting story to hear about his MTB journey. I have been riding since the 90's and met a lot of good riders in the PNW and in California. People like Remy are born better than 99% of us and then develop that skill above and beyond. Most of us could practice 10x more than Remy did and still not reach his level. Hard work allows you to reach your potential, DNA sets the bar on where that potential is. I am not bitter at all, every time I ride behind someone with an insane amount of God given talent I just marvel at the art, and that is why I watch Remy.

I had to ride chainless for the first time ever a few days ago after my mech hanger broke and my left shoulder hurt like hell for 2 days afterwards ,is this normal because i had to pump all day to maintain my speed or just unfit.?

i also have the reign e +0. 2022 .my frame cracked on the bottom near the motor and i dont ride this hardcore trails.. -.- Im not the only one with this issue. i hope giant give me a new frame.

I am not sure why, probably his size, but he looked a lot more like a mortal riding than I feel Remy does. Every time I watch Remy descend some madness I am in awe of how smooth he makes it look. Could be that Reece just rides fast and isn't really going for the smooth and controlled look.

I disagree really a lot on the opinion that fast tire dont matter on an ebike. You still roll like shit on a flatter section and it kills the momentum and you have to pedal where you normally would roll through very fast. potentially save some battery power.
