This was when we had musicians that were master's at their craft. Thank God for KZfaq so if you're too young to have lived it you can still experience it. Phil Collins was the drummer and lead singer for the English rock band named Genesis formed in 1967. I remember very well because it was the year I graduated high school and I loved rock bands as well as many other genres of music. 1960s, 1970s, 1980s was rich with talent. Enjoy!! And yes my brother.... We did get moist !! 😂😂

The synchronization between Phil and Nic on this song, in the live performances I’ve seen posted, is just amazing. It is virtually impossible to tell any difference between this performance from 2003 or 2004, and what we hear now with Phil and Nic during the Not Dead Yet tour from 2016 to 2019, when Nic was 15 to 18. With the announcement of Genesis’ The Last Domino? Tour, Nic officially became the drummer as a full member of a Genesis at age 19; ironically the same age Phil was when he cofounded Genesis.

This masterpiece is proof that good music touches hearts no matter of age! For those who don't know details about Phil Collins: he was born in 1951, an English drummer, singer, record producer, songwriter, and actor. Collins is considered one of the world best, accomplished artists. Between 1982 and 1990, Collins achieved three UK and seven US number-one singles in his solo career. He said that story of this song (only a story, mind you, not reality) is that he saw the guy his wife cheated him with drowning and just stared while voraciously taking in the revenge. It's the song of a strong passion, the hartred taking over the soul.

He is a true legend and so is the drum solo in this song. You can always tell when someone is listening to this song in their car because they will do the drum solo, you can't help it, it's contagious .

I saw him in Dallas September last year and even though he has had health issues he was great. He is legendary. His son Nicholas plays the drums at his concerts and he was great.

Phil Collins is multi talented. Drummer, vocalist, song writer, not to mention actor. Loved him in Buster. He doesn't disappoint live. Bloody amazing. They don't make music like this anymore

To play the most profitable song in Rock N Roll history like he did in this live performance will go down in history as one of the single greatest live performances for a song...all time. He had many songs with his band GENESIS, but he'll always be known for this song. ALWAYS!!!
