The overcoat is simply beautiful Ash. Well done. As for the hat,I am inclined towards a classic Homburg in black with a mid blue band to pick up on the pocket square and tie, which are exquisite.

Loving your choices Ash. The only thing I would change is the watch and the hat. I'd have paired that stylish outfit with an A. Large & Sohne 1815. Understated and classy. I'm not a fan of the bowler so would probably swap it out for a fedora. However, the shoe, shirt, suit, overcoat combo is an absolute triumph!

A £70,000 wristwatch with an off-the-peg suit? That strikes me as being a little out of balance. Loved the video, and some inspired choices (especially the overcoat... a real winner there!). I just think that if you've got the bank balance to drop seventy large on a wristwatch, you'd go made-to-measure, if not full bespoke. If I had that kind of cash rolling around, I'd get more mileage out of a half dozen bespoke suits (along with appropriate shirts, ties, shoes, etc.) than I would out of a single watch, no matter how fancy.

Another great video and Ash shows us what other great companies are out there. Even when the most of us will never wear any of these garments. As Ash was talking about the shirts, I was thinking to myself: "Ash goes to Turnbull and Asser." If I could have the suit of my dreams, I would go with a bespoke one from the British tailoring house Redmayne located in Wigton. I truly love their work. They have also a KZfaq channel called "Savile Row Tales"

I love all the other pieces/accessories except for the toe-squared shoes. Maybe its the younger guy in me but square-toe shoes are always very frowned upon.

Great recommendations. I can certainly vouch for both Turnbull & Asser who are now one of my bespoke shirt makers and I treasure my brown Coke hat from Lock and Co. Drake's definitely offers a great selection of ties that I have enjoyed. Interested if you are ever able to explore Italian brands in suits, shoes, and accessories.

Ohhhhh - G&G semi-brogue Oxfords! ....🤤 They *do* look *so exceedingly* stunning with the ever so slight inward tip of the toe-cap broguing and the severe but limited and elegant rectangular toe! The assertion it's Art-Deco in feel hits it right on the head! The suit is stunning but working with such a budget and the level of formality this implies, especially with the only very slightly curved hem-finish (I'd have gone with straight, but that's me^^), I'd gone with a peak lapel, which incidently proves it's merit by looking stunning on Mr. Jones' coat right here in this video! But then I *always* go with a peak lapel unless it's a summer or explicitly less formal jacket, so... And of course it would limit the suit's range, so there's that. Got nothing to add about the cocktail cuff - it's stunning, period! I'm not a fan of ties in general (prefer formal cravats - and have the freedom to do so, no work dress code) but this one is stunning (I suppose I'll use this word again a couple of times..)! o.O what a pocket square! Again moving a bit into Art-Deco territory as with the watch - but who wouldn't? It's the current style in the Golden Age of menswear! I feel the overcoat chosen is a bit too much understated... err... but..ahem.. you've seen what I already inflicted upon my surroundings in this regard with a more modest budget..so.. not exactly the bloke qualified to criticise here.^^ Can't really criticise the bowler, not with almost ten of those in my closet - still, would have gone with a steel-grey Homburg and since money doesn't matter I'd have gone two towns over to *Bad* Homburg, the spa town Edward VII learned of it (then still the eternal Prince of Wales) from his much maligned nephew the King-Emperor Wilhelm II's hunting hats. "Homburger-Hutsalon" would be my choice... heck, they might yet be if I'm weak enough to blow a ton of money on a bespoke hat...^^ Beautiful selections! 😃 - as my fiancée reminds me regularly: it's healthy to dream occasionally! I have cheated luxury with just 3 top notch items (Well, top notch for me), affordable shirt, trousers etc from M&S, Next but pushed the boat out on a pair of Crockett&Jones brogues, Omega Seamaster 300 watch, Gieves&Hawkes Navy Blazer and altered to fit perfectly.

I know T&A is out of your price bracket for now, but if you want affordable cocktail cuffs one day, Spier and Mackay do it on custom shirt -- we're talking 120 CAD, so 70 pounds. If you ever want to scratch that itch, it's probably possible. 🙃

Lovely, although why go off the rack with plain navy, when you’ve supposedly won the lottery and money is no object makes no sense to me. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Once in a lifetime opportunity, right? Dear Ash! I think, you might have forgotten to pick up gloves and probably scarf to complete your outfit. A ( long, not foldable) umbrella may also be recommend in the place where you live. Or did you omit these items on purpose?

Nice choices... the watch though! ouch!!! it's a piece of mechanical art though really. G&G are great I'm sure, but I know some well dressed folk around here who wear , sort of continental type shoes and they always strike me as overly long, reminding me of the 60s Penguin character and have lots of mass produced look-a-likes. That said, My C&J oxford toe caps are said to be from a last that's a mid point between "English" style and continental... and it's as long as I'd go. Maybe if I was taller aye? With you on the shirt and socks..... though there are many 'levels' of Corgi socks. Thanks for the video.

2:57 Why are the toe-boxes collapsed? I must be honest, I have never worn pocket square which competes with my ties. My ties and squares are almost always made by the same tailor and materials. I’d try changing things up but my wife would probably assume that I’d found a paramour.

I gotta object to the watch. Goes wo/saying that the AP RO you chose is beautiful. It’s more than beautiful. It gorgeous. But, it’s not a dress watch. A SR suit, T&A shirt, GG shoes, etc. cries out for a dress watch (PP Calatrava; JLC MUT or Reverso; Breguet Classique; etc.), not a crossover sport/dress watch albeit in precious metal.

I love how for 13 minutes it sounds like you're going for nice, quality clothing but still not incredibly expensive despite working on an assumption of winning tens of millions of pounds - then around 13 minutes in you become Goldfinger.

Half canvas for 1200£? I'd go with a MTM company like scabal and get a full canvas suit in a similar style for the same money. Spending this kinda money on a suit that needs alterations is not something I'm comfortable with. Also I'd go with one of the Italian shirtmakers. For 600£ you could get a fully bespoke Italian shirt with handstitched buttonholes and Alumi cloth. 300€ for one of the shirts that, in my opinion, is of way better quality than the Savile row shirts, 400 fully bespoke. The tie is great! But paisleys are something I have found myself wearing less and less. I'd go with a Drake's tie if it had to be England, E.Marinella for Italy, with a geometric pattern.

Ahg!! Square toe shoes just look wrong to me. Also, I do not like elongated toe shoes, they look false - like a comedy shoe worn by a court jester. Hey what do I know?

Great video I must say. I am not usually one to call someone out on their grammar or phrasing however I do so purely out of curiosity on this occasion Ash. You say repeatedly the phrase "if money were no option" in this video, I have certainly heard of the phrase "if money were no object" but have never hear of this variation. May I enquire as to where you came across this turn of phrase?
