Anthony Andrews was close to 8 liters in a day when he developed water intoxification. Christine is so tiny that a gallon of water plus tea, plus two huge smoothies might be a lot of fluids for her kidneys to process during her waking hours. The idea is that you don't want to take in more than your body is able to eliminate. So, if the body can only eliminate 27-33 ounces in a hour, it's probably best to keep it below that in an hour. If you take in slowly, it's probably fine. Chugging is not a great idea.

It is very important to realise when eating plant foods that the Cronometer is deceptive....just because there is a paper value for the vitamin content for a food does not translate into serum levels. You mentioned you were getting your markers checked christine, what exactly are you checking. For example on the chronometer your vitamin A looks high but beta carotene has to convert to retinoid acid the more bioavailable vitamin A and depending on your genetics that can be about 6 per cent. Similarly with plant based omega 3, this is in an inferior ALA and EPA form that has to covert to DHA and again some people are poor converters. There is poor absorption of all fat soluble plant based vitamins e.g A, D E and K unless you are eating them with FAT! Again vitamin K1 does not convert easily to the heart health vitamin K2 found in fermented foods and aged cheeses etc. Also non-heme iron is poorly converted.....I ate a bag of spinach a day but had ferritin of 12! I recommend all vegans to have a full nutrient serum profile....because it is very difficult to avoid deficiency (in terms of actual blood serum levels - not what the Cronometer reads) without a lot of supplementation.

Yup. There’s a reason God gave us the fruit trees in the Garden of Eden. We’re actually designed to be frugivores, like the other primates. They eat predominantly fruit (chimps, bonobos, monkeys, etc). And raw foods only and are quite strong. No need for meat at all, or many veggies, except they do eat tender, leafy greens, too.

If you call your journey healing through food then I want to contribute a very important knowledge that may be you are not aware of, food is made from the 5 elements and it’s effects us also in that manner , raw food is wonderful but it is hard to digest and it increases the air element in our system ( in Ayurveda they call it vata dosha ) when vata increases it creates the following symptoms: increase dryness, unrest, sleep problems, anxiety ,gas and digestive problems. it’s best to each individual to choose food according to his body constitution and according the season of the year, I can say for myself that as a vegan that care also for my health and love to eat clean I mostly eat raw food at summer time ( but evan then I’m not exaggerating with icy drinks which crate un balance with vata dosha ) also it’s better to have the full meal at lunch when the fire element is strong and to have a light dinner like warm and cooked food without protein. it’s important to take under consideration this deep knowledge of Ayurveda for crating health and balance. May I wish you success and well being and much ❤️ ,

Raw food, like fruit, super easy to digest! Also tender, leafy greens like lettuce is too. Kale isn’t or the brassica family (broccoli, cauliflower, etc.). So we are frugivores, which means like the other primates, fruit should be the mainstay of our diet. But we are somewhat versatile, too.

Hi, just a few questions that might seem silly but keen to learn! Firstly I'm in the UK - our watermelons have LOTS of black seeds in them and it takes forever to get rid of them as they are throughout the melon, not just in centre. How do you deal with them, or do you eat them? Also how do you tell that it is ripe enough? Secondly, at the risk of looking like an idiot - are Palm hearts from the trees that they are cutting down in the Rainforest? I found this - "Some palms yield palm hearts, the tender, inner section or buds of the baby palm tree. Each palm tree has a single bud in the heart of the crown of the leaves that heart that can only be harvested if the palm is cut down." Are they specially grown trees or ones in the Rainforest that is effecting the ecosystem and animals habitats? Thank you

Hey Lisa, that's a great way to eat them too. Soaking chia seeds and making a gel or pudding helps make them easier to digest for some people. But for most, having them in any kind of liquid, on top of cereals, smoothies bowls, etc, where they can soak up a little moisture is usually enough. 👌
