I Can so relate. Went through throat cancer just over a year ago. Still have after effects from the radiation. Lost My voice for a time. They pulled all my teeth. Lost over a 100 pounds. 33 treatments. Had to use thickener to eat. Drinking thickened water gross. Used a lot of crushed ice. very little i could drink or eat. Rough Stuff. I drank grape propel. Milk was out. close to have a feeding tube put in stomach. The Thrush was one of the worst parts. Glade your doing better. Its going to take time. Yes Mentally it does a number on you. Yah on the coffee. change my taste but i could taste most can not. It was Hard on my daughter. With out her help. Thats true Love. i lucked out usually scan was 15 min. They did not move machine. The crew had it down pat. A hard part was losing my oncologists for some months. Thankfully he's back. Please pray for him. He battled his own cancer. Pray he stays cancer free. it takes special people to treat cancer patients.

Oh my goodness. I don't know how I missed this. I always have to go and find you on KZfaq. I know about ptsd after illness. I've been the sick person ... I just refuse to accept it. It's been 20 years since they gave me my death sentence... I just wouldn't die. They haven't lifted my death sentence.... but everyone has to die and at this point I just wish they'd be quiet. I always say that my illness has been worse on my family. So absolutely you get to consider ptsd! I'm so broken hearted about Roger's experiences. It hurts me for you. I'm writing your names down so I'll remember to pray... surround you with love and peace and healing. Roger is a strong man. I feel like he's going to show us how to battle illness. ❤

A couple of tricks for RLS: My Mom would place a new, dry bar of Ivory soap inside her sheets. Wrap it inside a washcloth and use a safety pin to pin it inside the sheets near the feet. Or try placing it on your mattress under the fitted sheet down near the feet or legs. This works for me- to lay on my stomach with my feet just over the end of the bed. Then flex and release my feet very fast, almost the reverse of tapping my toes. It works the muscles on the front of the leg. Before long, my legs would be tired without the RLS. I pray that God pours out His will on you and your family.

So very glad Roger is better. Still praying for both of u guys. And as I am near blind, so I can attest that when 1 of ur senses isn't there, ur other senses will fill the gap. I pray every1 having to go thru something like this has an advocate to help u get the care u deserve.
