If you are in receipt of a UK state pension and move to France now , you just need an S1 which you get from the NHS prior to leaving the UK and you go straight into the French system

It looks like you have a much better and quicker service in France than we have here. Do you get the same sort of service if you are on holiday in France? Take care both. Cheers, Huw

Thanks Huw. My experience has only been good here. I would imagine that any holidaymaker would be able to access the same level of care providing they have the appropriate insurance.

Very interesting, In Spain you don't top up, NHS there is totally funded by the government, you pay for medication and so on, retired people pay just a few coins for it. Is really interesting to know the differences between countries, thank you for all the info.
