Totally making this for my son’s first birthday next month! He’s a HUGE eater and I know if I gave him a regular smash cake he’d eat so much he’d get sick, since he’s never really had sweets before. This healthier version will be perfect for him I think - he LOVES cinnamon, so this is right up his alley!! Thank you!

I made this cake today for my grandson first birthday. I used Agave instead of syrup and greek yogurt instead of whip cream for the frosting. He loved it! Thanks so much for the recipe.

I made this for my daughter’s first birthday last week. Used honey instead of maple syrup & homemade pear sauce instead of applesauce, the cake tasted so nice, my daughter loves it! ❤

Hi there! Sorry I didn't see your comment until now. You could use honey, but keep in mind that honey isn't recommended for babies under 1 year of age.
