I am a retired 77 year old RN with a BN and had decided at the age of 26 not to eat any man made food. I grew up with meals made from scratch and meat with vegetables. It was the time when margarines were brought in and were being pushed by health experts however it was created by humans so I said NO to it. I also did not eat any fast food( expensive) rarely drank alcoholic beverages. Initially it was because of cost but then about health. I am very healthy ,exercise and try to get a good night's sleep.

I will pass all these hacks onto my mum who is on the verge of being a diabetic. She can be a bit of a hard work as she doesnt like anyone telling her what to eat or how to eat her food but i will do my best to get her attention. She went down from 7.1 to 6.4 in a space of 6 months but still has a way to go. Thank you, Jessie and Dr. G 😊

What about Type I diabetics? I tried eating the veggies first and it didn't work that well. My blood sugar still spiked after the meal some of the time. Other times, it stayed more level but that was because I didn't eat that many carbs after the vegetables. It seems so many hacks help type II diabetics, but not type I. 😢

How does ginger tea work instead of vinegar?
@lucez205
@lucez205 4 ай бұрын
I don't know the answer to your question but since I've incorporated magnesium supps and 3/4litre mug of ginger tea daily and also intermittent fasting here and there of up to about 16hrs, but nowadays about 13, I have become very regular. The ginger works for me like a treat. I do not have any problems with my sugar but it must be keeping my weight down, speeds up digestion. As long as your stomach can handle it, try the ginger and see what happenes..

Hmm.. as far as i'm aware fruit should be eaten separately from meals as it's easier to digest and can interact with other heavy meals. Especially if someone has digestive, stomach, acid problems. It is very important how you combine food, indeed, just have to be the right and some good old sane logic way.

Could be you have histamine intolerance, in which case the vinegar is causing a histamine flare. I learned this through a KZfaq comment myself lol. Watch out for high histamine foods, and eating everything fresh no leftovers. Which is inconvenient I know but you get used to it. Also watch out for oxalates as well. This stuff really does a number on me.

Are you walking everyday? Deep slow breathing or meditation/ relaxation? Also, take your blood pressure when you have relaxed for a bit. Drink lots of water- dehydration can cause high blood pressure too. Stress is a big facture watch your self talk and change your reactions to things into chosen responses...again, meditation helps with this. Watch your salt intake. Magnesium and potassium deficiencies cause high blood pressure too. More leafy green vegetables supply you with the calming minerals. Check out berberine. I heard recently that it can cause high blood pressure too. I hope you find the answers.

Check out your neck muscles, your posture and overall core strength. The tension in your neck can cause restriction on your blood vessels and then your brain (which is a command center of the entire body) tells your heart to pump blood more vigorously and your blood vessel to constrict to get enough blood/oxygen to your brain…work on your posture and see if the BP will improve…and as one said above, check your sodium potassium magnesium intakes, stress level, kidneys function .

It doesn’t seem like you’ve tried eating her technique at all. I’ve been doing it for about eight weeks and I’m down 11 pounds. I am walking 3-4 times a week but it absolutely has been very effective at least for me.

Who is going to eat like that, this is not sustainable. The more I listen to you guys the more you guys confuse people, there's so many videos and so many people talking about all kinds of ways to eat and all kinds of diets and you guys are all different, it's just better not to listen to you guys so confusing

I can’t stand the way she talks! And it’s a shame because she is sharing excellent and much needed information.
