Fedotov replaced Felix Sandstrom on the roster, who replaced Cal Peterson, who replaced Carter Hart on the original emergency call up-apparently all the guys are all using the same call up slot is what we are being told locally.

as a tampa guy, i really appreciate what suzuki has been quietly doing, and people may not be aware that the bugger is only 24 years old. tons of potential for him ahead. i expect nick suzuki to be a serious contender to make the 2026 team canada squad. about kaiden guhle, hit on konecny aside, i love his physicality and potential. he's been on my radar since 2020 when he was in the whl. i sincerely hope him and arber can stay involved with the montreal canadiens blueline for many years to come.

Reinbach has a high ceiling offensively, but has good size & can be physical. Matheson is pretty robust. Hutson is a lightweight, Konyshkov, a 21 yr old prospect looks good, doing well in KHL, is also a lightweight. Struble is a solid shutdown D with size and mobility, Mailloux could turn into a decent player too. They could conceivably draft another D with either of their 1st Rdrs. They just need to find a #1 goalie in a draft; 1st or 2nd Rdr who turns into the likes of Askarov, Wolf, Dostal, Hofer, Wahlstedt, then look out. I miss teams built on shutting teams down with good keeping & elite defending (keeping opposition to 2 goals, ala Devils, Stars, Wings 90's), as oppose to all these offensive dynamos that have only decent/adequate goaltending

I am used to hearing Simon Benoit name being pronounced See Mom instead of Side Man because he is from Quebec. Seeing Fedotov is a big big dude from the practice photo Flyers posted. With what when down for him in Russia, good to see him gets things straighten out and now in NHL level. With the flyers, they need all the helping they can get. (Ersson done well but he is a backup that is seeing a lot of playing time and Sandstrom does not look confident as of late)

As a Leafs fan, I'm ECSTATIC with this signing! Tough, hard-nosed defenseman who hardly ever puts himself into bad situations (more often than not, plays it safe). Throws his weight around and is willing to drop the mitts to stand up for a teammate. Great signing, pleasantly surprised at the cap hit AND term.

Because Sandstrom was the emergency recall for Carter Hart, he can be replaced by Fedotov. As long as Ersson isn’t swapped it’s legal

Luke Hughes will be Norris Trophy down the line. Love the Sabres D..really young but unmatched high end...why aren't they winning yet? Coach? As always terrific young talent up front as well. Something is off in the team culture.

Since his contract was signed in prior years, and expires (I believe) this summer. Is he eligible to play in the playoffs? Curious how it works with RFAs needing to be signed before Dec 1(?) and FAs before trade deadline, technically either would be covered in his situation... so would be he playoff eligible for the Flyers?

Buffalo’s lead writer advocates dump Granato. But, he’s not even close to being canned. He has a contract that is good for three seasons, so he’s staying put barring “promotion”, say to GM of Rochester or a college AD position.

Sure, but coaches have their contracts terminated early all the time. They have pay security but not employment security. It doesn't work like player contracts because there's no NHL coaches' association.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Fedotov can be used during the regular season, but he wouldn't be playoff legible because he wasn't on the Flyers roster at the trade deadline, and as you said the Flyers have used up all their emergency recalls(I didn't even know there was a limit).

I thought that was case, but Briere said league said he could play if Philly holds on to their playoff spot. So that was interesting. I wonder if there's the "rule" and then there's the "Well, we didn't think Carter Hart might be out of the league for legal reasons... exemption"

Fedotov will be the tallest goaltender in the history of the NHL. He is 6'8' in his bare feet, so the Flyers will have a pretty good ringer in the backup goalie role if they manage to get into the playoffs.

Hi Shannon I like your channel but I think the flyers will be a bit disappointed with fedotov. He has a problem playing the puck and had a very bad season with central army. He would have 1 very good game and then 3 or 4 games that he would give up 1 or 2 bad goals to cost central army a victory. I watched every game he played and was the major reason along with there power play why they were eliminated in the first round. Keep up the great work and as you know that statistics don't always tell the whole story.

For all this, Dallas Stars has to show more and how they are not good, and so on, they are the first in the West to punch their playoff ticket. Plus they sit 3 points ahead of the Avs and only 1 point back for NYR. Keep it up Dallas.

Today Nick Suzuki's contract looks great. I had skepticism the day he was signed. I'm glad to say I was wrong and I'm happy for the kid. If he's not a first-line center that would make him one of the best 2nd line centers in the NHL.

I like that Ducks jersey, but those colors are just bad. It looks like something that's been washed with the wrong type of detergent and ruined the real colors. The Ducks colors should be something like green & grey, which is what a real duck (at least the ducks around where I live) is. In Philadelphia they're dumb enough to think that eagles are those colors.
