Love love love seeing these behind-the-scenes clips of them working hard on what was going to be a smash-hit album. It's fascinating to watch the sausage being made.

What a fabulous find. Ann Wilson's vocal depth heard and seen on this unembellished video makes it a rare gem. Especially like that her voice is the main instrument heard, not overpowered by musicians, allowing her softer, butterfly notes to flutter about to let us appreciate each word. Take a journey on the notes of Ann's voice. Close your eyes and just listen. To me, there's never been a voice like hers in my lifetime. Fascinating to realize the individual artistry she posseses. Thank you for sharing this, and thank heaven for Annie's incredible voice, spirit and endurance.

Amazing that Ann's studio REHEARSALS, straight thru, sound better than most singers' final products!
@reddevil95547 жыл бұрын
I think this is the main vocal that was used in the end, they just hadn't added the lead guitar to the mix yet.
@howardbreauxii8114 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of these studio videos where you can here sentences that were apparently used in the final mixes. It's really cool because it might be one sentence out of four, but when you hear one you recognize it.

Ann Wilson's and Cyndi Lauper's voices are simply Great. Period. Ann's recent singing of the National Anthem rocked hella big time. Loved it!

Ann Wilson is the best female rock vocalist of our era, no doubt, but having Cyndi Lauper in the same sentence seems disrespectful to Ann.
@anakina13 жыл бұрын
How the two of them were mentioned together blew me away. Ann is considered by many as one of the best vocalist ever and Cyndi has never been referenced that way.

Cyndi Lauper no...Pat Benatar yes.
@manxuberglider83 жыл бұрын
Ann Wilson rules. She has an over four octave range, and a certain “it factor” that’s a mental agility and a near supernatural talent. There’s no comparing Ann. If you don’t like Cyndi Lauper, fine. But Cyndi also has a huge vocal range, and is far greater than her hits. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qbh5ZM-Ll96qfJc.html

I bet devilsfan is one of those shut in that weighs over 1000lbs and is just jealous. Shut the hell up. Ann was always beautiful. And if it will shut you up further go and look at her now. I agree sparklingdark. Watch Carrie Underwood sing Alone with her and see the look on her face. Carrie Underwood is the only one I have heard do a decent rendition of the song.

ann had huge hair in the 1980s that was real like her voice was real and her talent was real while the others all had fake hair and fake talent and fake positive reviews.
@howardbreauxii8114 жыл бұрын
@Damper Goldenrod Well, most of that was her real hair. She will be the first to tell you that she wore a TON of extensions in the 80s, especially during the videos and tours for the self-titled album. She also wore fake fingernails and says that Nancy's boobs were fake because they were pushed up to look bigger (Nancy has always been somewhat flat chested). I know she would appreciate your comments but would tell you it's not quite the case.

@@howardbreauxii811 yep, I saw her and Nanc say that in a taped interview. The 80s was that kind of era, though. Lotsa glitz and glam.
