Agree, the pitch of the keynotes in the original arrangement was decided for a reason, and they couldn't sound more perfect than that, especially when Nancy belts out the high notes of the chorus with that raspy voice that seemed to "take you on the impression of breaking, but still hit the notes on point" is absolutely intentional 'cause it makes it so beautifully emotional. That never fails to send shivers down my spine and goosebumps all over. Makes you wonder "Why is this making me feel so much?"

Agreed. I generally hate the modern "stripping back" of songs. People say it as if it's a good thing.

I couldn't have said it better DOD Music. The original arrangement was awesome. Hugely disappointed with the way it's been performed for the past 30 years. Heart.....take notice. Bring back the synths! Never was clear who performed the wall of synths on the record, but what a fantastic job they did. I was fortunate to see them in the 80s playing it much closer to the original arrangement. They may have used some tracks, which I'm against. Really the way to have pulled it off best would have been to have Howard, Nancy & Ann all playing synth parts. They all have keyboard ability and have played keyboards on stage in Heart in the 80s. This song would have been worth the effort, one of the crowning achievements of the band and the initial reason a lot of people like myself became huge fans.
