Why was it so hard to find the video? The first thing I did was searching in the channel and I thought it was removed, after many attempts I found it using a search on KZfaq. I think it is just like hiding the video and it is disgusting. It seems like there's bad actors both sides but for whatever reason Israel seems to never have criticism. For a real lasting solution there must be accountability, responsibility and understanding. Adam and Bassem both rushed to conclusions about the other person's points quite often. It got worse as emotions heated up. Bassem did a better job of staying calm while Adam fell back into reciting comfortable arguments instead of listening carefully and responding thoughtfully. Adam called Bassem intellectually dishonest repeatedly while showing a lack of intellectual humility. Bassem implied repeatedly that Adam was giving into racist tropes. I can't say he's totally wrong but it didn't help the discourse.

In almost every interview, bassem is presented with the question: "if you where the PM of Israel, what would You do? (after 7/10 and in general). well, I, as an Israeli Jew, after hearing him talk on all those interviews, think that Bassem as Israel's PM is just a wonderful idea! Look at the israeli/jewish and Palestenian perspectices of this stuff, that weeds out SOME of the noise, but it's still hard to navigate. In terms of reasonable pro-Israeli stuff: Benny Morris (Israeli historian), Alan Dershowits (Jewish Lawyer), Rudy Rochman (activist), Unpacked (Israeli/Jewish history channel). For reasonable pro-palestenian stuff: Illan Pappe (Israeli historian), Avi Schlaim (Israeli historian), Gideon Levy (Israeli journalist), Mouin Rabbani (Palestenian American Journalist).

Wholesale dismissal of everything reported by ANY specific outlet is intellectually lazy. Coming to an informed position on a story or subject instead of just repeating others' points takes effort. Judge each story in isolation and based on the merits & sources first. Then consider the source publication and the person presenting it along with their biases. Ideally you then seek out opposing perspectives and decide for yourself what you believe and what you still have yet to learn mor about.

You know - it's these kind of 'absolute' comments that make me so frustrated because what the f*ck does 'folks supporting Israel' mean? There are millions of people who support Israel and you're going to narrow it down to what exactly? Secondly, these are interesting discussions but they have absolute no bearing on the outcome of Israel and Gaza. We've been dealing with this 'war' for 3+ months and it already feels like years - I'm exhausted by it. The facts are that both sides don't have their hands clean. Did Israel do f*cked up sh*t absolutely, but so did the Palestinians and their beloved governing Hamas espeically on Oct 7th. There is no 'happy ending' to this war because so many people have died, on both sides but it doesn't matter if one side has 20,000 or 1000 - it's still terrible and unnecessary. Just like these guys - I have zero influence over the outcome, I just have my opinion as a humanitarian and someone who does not want to see anyone else die. If the world wants to stop Gaza residents from dying, give actual solutions to creating a framework that will lead to Israelis and Palestinians living in their homes in peace without the worry of being attacked the way those savages did on Oct 7th. Create universities, encourage sports and encourage civilization and not martyrdom and all this other extreme idiocy that has lead us to where we are today.
