In this video I show you step by step how to replace your heater (control) valve on a 1997 Ford Ranger (v4, standard, 2.3L). This replacement process may be similar to other heater valves you may need to work on, so use this video as a general (loose) instructional guide. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: The replacement part (part no #74809 heater valve at auto zone), a gallon of 50/50 anti-freeze, a funnel, pliers, a flat head screwdriver, and an hour or so of time for the job. Please watch the whole video from start to end so you can view the entire process and proceed informed. Leave any questions below and I will reply as soon as possible. Thanks for watching!
