Heater core replacement for deluxe HVAC on Blazer, Bravada, Jimmy, S10 1995-2004

5 жыл бұрынThis is on a 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada with the fancy automatic HVAC system. This is a bigger module then the standard systems and takes more time and work. This is the standard system on a Bravada and optional on S10s, Blazers, and Jimmys

Great job and detail but it can be done without removing the fenderwell and any of that stuff. I did it on a Blazer. The worst and most difficult job I'll never do again in this lifetime.

Thanks for taking the time to make this. I have the _exact_ same Bravada and the heating went out. I thought it might be the blend door actuator, but this doesn't seem to be the case. So, I'm now thinking it's the heater core. Probably a bit too involved for me to tackle it, but good to know everything involved so that I could come to that conclusion.

leaking and/or dew and smell on the inside windshield are the main symptoms of a heater core

@@sasshole8121 It's either plugged... Or I guess it is your blend door?

@@JerrSpud yeah, not sure. I'm going to try changing the thermostat and if that doesn't work I'll do a radiator system flush. If those don't work, I'll just have to bundle up this winter!

@@sasshole8121 the temperature gauge will tell you if the thermostat is working or not. If the car is never heating up, it's stuck open and that could make it so your heater's not working. you should see that with your temperature gauge
