This is a documentary of 3D Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment's (3/5) deployment to Afghanistan. The documentary summarizes the deployment in a very broad sense. The footage was compiled from myself and members of the Combat Camera team attached to 3/5, as well as helmet cameras provided by various Marines on the deployment as well.
The entirety of the video was edited by myself. I personally was attached to Company "L"

He was murdered by the ANcop (might be misspelling, but their political police force) , by our supposed "allies', while he replaced the culprit on a post. He was a good dude.

They were there before us years ago. We did have some joint operations with them when I was there, but nothing in that particular district I was in. I figured it was because the U.N. is always involved if we are.

This Marine Mom is so proud of what y'all have accomplished all over Helmand Province... I'm in absolute awe of each & every one of you... my son and his USMC brother's in arms are definitely the best of us... I have to ask my self daily, what have I done to deserve the freedom that I enjoy because of Americans like those in our military who willingly & knowingly put themselves in harms way for the security of this country & for others as well... It is so humbling. OOH RAH USMC! SEMPER FI!

Great job Marines! As a former Marine, Sangin was begining to look bad but You all turned it around. Those ANA don't look like push overs either, with some national pride they could be a group to reckon with. I am glad to see that you are treating the people well and because of that they prosper. I remember I always had the understanding that there was a difference between the enemy and the people (even if they cross that line in the beginning). No better friend, no worse a foe.

I don't really mind if other people have posted this video up, but I would love to see who's claiming to be the one that created this video. I'll also remind you. This video is compiled by a total of 5 Combat Cameramen that were with 3/5 to include myself. I edited this entire thing. So one of them probably re-posted it. However, please get back to me.
