Heel toe is the best. They have single pedals with two beaters now one for the heel and for the top of the foot. So you can play that 200 bpm on one foot
@jubencore1950

I havent tried that though, that pedal is so expensive i cant afford it...

@@jubencore1950 they are definitely but possibly worth saving for. If you had two bass drums, you could be at 400bpm with the same effort lol

yeah take it slow. work on getting your feet adapted to full leg movement first. even though it may seem that you’ve mastered the technique, at 6 months you most likely still have more to improve on. if you want to go fast and just can’t wait, do your research and practice ankle motion technique. if you can get that up to 190 in another 3-4 months that’d be impressive. heel toe can come later when you need it.

How tight do you have your batter head? I heard it helps the rebound better to have it fairly tight.

So ig here’s the question: ankle technique, heel toe, or swivel?
@jubencore1950
@jubencore1950 2 күн бұрын
For me, if I could turn back time, I would choose ankle but I can't play it for now. If you can play ankle technique, you can play swivel, but for the heel, toe it's the easiest double bass technique of the three, for the meantime I'm practicing ankle... While using heel toe.
