Thanks bro! That was therapeutically soothing to me. I could have listened to you for an hour man, but I think I’ll go and play myself now.

Best in music no doubt, but the world? I really enjoy the sound my girl makes when I pleasure her, or my CBR1000RR at redline (with full titanium Akrapovic Evolution system). I also love the report of a quality firearm and the deafening roar of the P&W F135 afterburning turbofan engine that powers the F-35 Lightning II fighter jet. The former F1 V12 / V10 / V8 N/A engines all sounded glorious too and I love when lightning cracks across the sky, followed by the explosive demonic boom of thunder at untold decibels. I could go on, but I too adore the sound of super fast, metronomically linear double-bass. Edit : Metal would suck without it. 🤘🏻

Hello Ethan, I'm learning how to play drums seeing some videos here on KZfaq, including your videos. In your video you show very well the double bass and heel toe technique. I notice that you play the drum pedals without shoes. Do you think that without shoes the contact between the foot and the drum pedal is better for drumming, and improve the performance of drumming? Do you recommend it?
@rubberduckman2 жыл бұрын
Hey dude! Yes for heel toe double strokes I totally recommend playing in socks you can feel the footboard much better🤘

@@rubberduckman i have a little question for you sir...what double pedals are you using there?..thank you so much..amazing video sir!🤟🤟
@domenicdevries Жыл бұрын
@@drunken-skunk those are pearl demon drives. They are in the direct drive / shortboard configuration. I think it’s also a pearl driveshaft. Haven’t looked at a pearl one in a while. Trick makes one exactly like that.

Hey man! I’m practising my heel toe technique with a short board, but I’m having trouble playing this with a Nitro Mesh Alesis Drum kick pedal. Do you have any tips on this technique?
@antimarx265 Жыл бұрын
It depends on a few things... Throne height, footboard angle, beater angle and spring tension. I'd recommend watching drum techniques academy for more information on that
@forgot2poop4 ай бұрын
the kick tower that comes with it is really bad for double bass. I got the Yamaha KP65 and it changed everything

Do I need a longer footboard? I have a set of Tama speed cobras and then don't seem to return to neutral fast enough for this to work.
@rubberduckman Жыл бұрын
I play my demon drives as shortboards and the footboard is pretty small. I think your answer lies within the cam of the pedal. Coz demon drives are direct doubles are much easier

🤔 Now I'm almost convinced that the thing getting in the way of my heel toe/double double progress is that I have metal kick pads on my drum head..... I need to get on a bare kick drum and test this theory out...

Does the brand of the double pedal matter or is it more the skill?
@rubberduckman7 ай бұрын
I think it's a combination of both when playing singles but for doubles it's easy if the pedal is direct drive and longboard.
