Heilung means Healing… I found Heilung in 2018 & their music has connected me spiritually in many ways. Went to see their ceremony in San Francisco live & it is life changing!!! There is a short documentary on their life & how/why they created this work, where they find the lyrics, how they create the instruments & keep everything very traditional. You might really enjoy the entire Lifa ceremony…

@@LocalBandSmokeout In Maidjan (live at Castlefest) is the best one to get a general sense of Heilung - that performance is also the first thing they ever did on stage together. Also, Alfadhirhaiti from the same show is spectacularly intense, if you want something to really get the blood pumping...

And also Krigsgaldr from the same live show - this is probably the most popular one. To be honest the whole performance is stellar so you can't go wrong with it.

1st aurora, now heilung. you are on the right track. i wish they could cooperate for a while. maria franz and aurora in a duet would be remarkable. heilung just released a alive rendition of this song recently. do you a favor and compare the video with the live setting.

LIFA was my first experience with Heilung so this was like a cherry on top when it came out. I can veg on Heilung all day.

Just subscribed. Saw them live a couple of months ago in Greensboro NC. I'm 79 and have seen countless concerts in my day and their show is spectacular! I dare say the best I've ever seen. Very theatrical "Rituals" and my God those amplified drums. My chest is still vibrating, lol!

i have seen this comment in many other reactions to the or other songs by em: heilung is like the old gods are speaking to us. its like nature its self speaking to you. its up to eash and everyone of us to listen and take it to heart and return to the way of of ansesters. and I 100% belive this. HAIL the olds gods and the anseters

Pity you didn't watch the video. It's full of symbolism from the eclipse and the birth of an, apparently, gifted young girl to the consumption of magic mushrooms and the bird brought back to life. The collision with the ox symbolises the coming together with her spirit animal. Funny enough, my first time watching this, I was also thinking about the Hu. It reminded me of "Wolf Totem". Probably because they used similar instruments like the strings and drums. Maybe watch it again and focus on the video. It's really interesting to have a bit more inside of what your ancestors did to live their life and how religion got present it's form by ancient superstition and rituals. The language in this performance is indeed based on the few words discovered so far. But like the lyrics, the performance is open to self interpretation. The meaning of it is explained by Heilung themselves. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌷
