I have a just over 7 inch and wear mine on a two piece NATO. It was the only way to get it on my wrist and I quite like it now

I find this design one of the most beautiful ever. I have the watch, its a looker.

Mine just arrived yesterday and I immediately stripped off the rubber strap and put on a 2 piece seatbelt material strap. Made all the difference and wears comfortably. If I put the rubber strap on I'll be modifying the shroud to fit the strap so it'll go straight out. They should have notched the shroud to fit. Love the watch though. I did notice that there is no way in my armada of watch tools to get the bezel off to change the bezel insert. It's just too flush. Bomb proof though.

Great video dude. For all those who want a tuna in their collection, i would suggest they buy the Heimdallr sea shepherd instead of this. I have it with the old dial (not gonna find it anymore, but the new one is cool too) and the same bezel insert this one has and is my favorite watch from my collection. Excellent build quality, beautiful and beastly at the same time! This one could have been great too, but the case and shroud design make it a major fail! In my humble opinion Heimdallr should have withdrawn these, since they obviously are very impractical, but of course they ain't gonna do it. It is a pity, because it could have been a killer watch (even though i detest its date window)...

I only have the San Martin tuna with a beautiful red dial and I love it. This one looks so nice but not sure about that really small lug to lug! Great review👍🏻

I have just received mine and the fault is with the shield which drops just too deep for the lugs I have an 8" wrist and the problem still exists until you take the protective shield off once you have done that it fits flush with the wrist. shame its a nice piece

The gold one i bought was perfect, only one problem, the lugs were under the case and shroud, made the watch stand too tall on the wrist, the case does not sit on the wrist. Changing the strap may help just a bit

I have the black PVD and gold version of this 1KM Tuna. I had to modify the strap with emery board and file down the "bump" on the strap. Made a huge difference. I have since swapped it out for a silicone strap and it wears great on my 7.25" wrist. Needs to be a soft silicone strap. It is not my most comfortable watch, but it wears well. My San Martin bronze tuna on horween leather disappears on my wrist. This one, does not. It is a statement piece, has wrist presence.

So overall do you prefer the proxima tuna? How is the overall finishing between the two?

My wrist is 7.3 inches & 60mm across the top but I think this watch will still pop up on the wrist...It looks fantastic but I don't think I could wear this & wouldn't take the gamble tbh

After seeing your review I might have to forget buying this since I planned to wear it on a shark bracelet on my 8.7" wrist.. But seeing others point out that it could work I might try.. But for now I will stick to my Deep Sea lookalikes :)

I've seen these Emperor Tuna's being sold with stainless steel Engineer straps. I don't know if that will make a difference with the wearability of this watch?

This watch is a 1000m dive watch. So it is a tool watch for diving deep. When you do that you wear a wet suit. Wearing this watch on a wet suit is no problem at all. Back to the world above water, you have to be big to pull this monster off. I have 7.5 inch wrists and that is just enough. I think Heimdallr came up with this strap to make it possible for 6.5 inch and bigger to wear it. The strap goes vertical down from the case and that gives smaller wrists a sort off tucked in feeling, otherwise the watch would slide around all the time. But on a 6.5 inch wrist it is still too big anyway. So on a 7.5 inch wrist this rubber bracelet puts the watch on top of my wrist. The watch doesn't sit flush, it wobbles a bit. I took off the bracelet and scraped a millimetre off the top of the end of the bracelet, the bit that touches the shroud with a very sharp knife. Sandpaper it and you can't see anything was done to the bracelet. But now feel the difference. The bracelet doesn't stand vertical from the shroud, the angle is much wider now. You can wear this watch now, without a wet suit, on a 7.5 inch wrist or bigger.

Why didn't they put a cutaway in the shroud above the strap/between the lugs? I guess that wouldn't be right for the 1000m variant but as much as I love the stainless steel bezel I don't think this one is for me. I do like the 300m Tuna and have a Steeldive which sits very nicely on my 7 inch wrist. Great video thanks for posting.

I’ve got an Eco-zilla that is a similar puck. My wrist is larger, about 7 3/4” but the Tuna was designed to go over wetsuits anyway. I’ve tried them on and they aren’t much different from my Citizen. It’s a good weekend watch for sailing and free diving or knocking around town. Great looking watch!

Zeb Sir me likes👏👏👏⌚️and Considering as you know Im a Fan but also have the Tools to Wear these Tunas with a Good 9” inches of Wrist then that’s Perfect for me and actually a lot smaller than Normal 1000m Tunas (which tend to be 50-52mm Width) like my Seiko Tunas. Personally I’m not a Fan of Silver Aluminium beadblasted or Coloured Shrouds on them and Prefer a Standard Black Ceramic Shroud just because that’s Historically what they Came on. The Heimdallr Certainly has the Goods to be a Huge Seller for Tuna Fans and I must admit the Dial is Top notch Quality. As a Homage and because of the Size this one is I think it’s more of a Seiko 300m Tuna (48mm) clone but with a 1000m dial so I suppose it’s Quite Novel. The Only problem as you’ve shown with nearly all Tunas of this size is how they sit on the wrist because of the height and Weight so the only way to alleviate the Watch sliding round the wrist being top heavy is to wear them Tighter than you normally would and they sit A lot more Stable. Lume is Perfect being C3 and It certainly has good Bezel Action. Yup very Good Quality and As Always OBI Wan “The Force Is With You” 😜👍⌚️

I had my eye on a tuna. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and have no problem with 44mm watches .ike my Samurai ut the tuna is out of the question for me. It is a handsome watch but at the same time to gaudy.....

In your opinion is The Heimdallr Tuna much superior to the Proxima,San Martin.Steeldive etc???? Like to know your view.Personally as for me The Heimdallr is a cut above the rest...

I’ve got the same size wrist as you..and with the additional “accoutrement” in my skin it makes it look even smaller. There is no way I could sport that even as awesome as it is. Constantly plagued by that. Max I’ll go is 43 and that’s too big for me but I’ll do it for the right watches. Lug to lug is the real killer for me, but luckily seiko understands the struggle...so that thankfully gets passed to the homages as well. That one though...still too big unless it’s a purpose diver only....and in reality it’s not but it sure looks cool!

The problem with this watch is the shroud that is too much over the lugs. this is not like in the real tuna or other tuna Homages

The tropic makes that watch! I think a shark mesh could work too satin brushed. Your arms are lovely and hairy my wrist is 6.5 and I previously wore a seiko tuna but sold it as unless I actually dived it's a bit too much of a door magnet. So unless i go gym 24 7 i ain't getting a tuna. The solar tuna size looks appealing and i dont know why the china factory's dont hommage the rarer small size tuna quartz from 80s era

I owned one and sold it within a month. Just don't like tunas
