Helicopter Lands on HWY in Texas

We were driving home and saw a helicopter flying really low so we pulled over. In no time several county police cars blocked the hwy so it could land. It seems someone was having a medical emergency in an ambulance and had to get to the hospital quicker so they landed the helicopter on HWY 16. The Highway was closed for nearly an hour.

I live about 4 miles from this location, Airlife is always picking up someone on this Hwy.

Happens only in countries like United states, where the roads r so beautiful, clean, wide and smooth that u can even land planes on Highways...

uhhh ohhh crowds is what we call them in the EMS field they feel by staring or recording in some strange way they are helping but in reality they are causing more issues then anything. Its a helicopter move along no need to congest up the area for it

Ah, if your in the EMS field than you know cops closed the roads, the people watching are actually captives, unable to move until the chopper leaves. I flew Airmed in Louisiana, of course, in the EMS field.....

blah blah blah 3/4 of the time air meds are not needed . Just a major rip off ride to the hospital.
