Having watched a lot of Gebatron's guides now, I am hopeful I can run into him in game. I think not only does he make great guides, but the way he behaves as a player is exactly the kind of people I would want in my squad.

I'd like to add on something I noticed here. When using the Mg you should try to fire irregular bursts, some longer or shorter and spaced apart at different intervals. We don't want the enemy to know when we are reloading.

Suppress & suppress. Too many mg players play like it’s a normal rifle and only shoot when they get a clear shot. You need a good squad to call out positions and give you pings. When you get those pings you just suppress the area while your squad makes moves. Keep the pressure up. Keep them down and boxed in. Don’t give them time to think. Of corse this is just one situation but I think this is the most overlooked part of mg’ing. Suppression.

I agree 100% with everything that is said here and he is exactly right since so many people do the COD rush thinking they will survive when this is not COD this is HLL. Players in this game really need to learn that they are on a team and they must work together as a team in order to achieve many goals. Doing anything less doesn't help the team and doesn't help the squad to achieve what they are trying to achieve and it negates having fun. Another big problem that I see in HLL is that more and more players that come into the game refuse to use their mics and spend little to no time on communicating with each other. Also it's happening way too frequently that many squads are being formed with no squad leaders at all and they seem to think that this is the best way for a squad to run when they don't realize it's a detriment to the squad and the team. This entire game is about mutual cooperation and learning to function as opportune and less as individuals.

Good tips, having different MGs with different capabilities an a new one in two days... this tips can help the players; is not that easy or obvious as it seems for take the max out from the MG, communications, placement and timing it's key imo, it's not an easy role.

You're very right about the different MGs playing a little differently. I play the US MG less frequently than the German ones as I find it a little less capable even though you can lay down fire with it for ages. Haha! What's your favorite MG?

@@GebatronGaming The M1919; mid rate of fire, mild recoil and long time on the trigger, it's easy to use on the bipod. For "reactive fire" (on the bipod) the MG-42 it's the queen, clearly imo, then the MG-34 for the same reasons but.. leaks drum capacity and total ammo count, the sights can be obtrusive at times, depending on the background and last, for this task, the M1919; but as GPMG... my fav it's the M1919, task: A) Kill nazis, B) form a wall of lead or beat relentlessly an objective, possition or fire sector C) Keep killing nazis. For me, as rifleman, the M1919 it's my fav; i preffer to be on the move than resting behind a comfy trigger praying for don't have an Arti rain or a bombing run on my possition, but if i've to be seated... i preffer a comfy seat, that's the M1919.

The 1919 is relentless for sure. I still prefer the MG42 as I feel its a little more accurate, but nothing beats the 1919 for sheer time you can spend on the trigger.

Mixed thoughts on burst vs full auto. In defense I prefer bursts and multi impact areas. Simple swing of muzzle. This lengthens the ammo usage. In full auto is for suppression in direct frontals. The saying you have "tons of ammo" is not accurate. I use 3K avg per game. That's running out a lot. Having supply around helps. Point out to ammo bearers.... drop all ammo in defensive areas. Of course respawning reloads you out..... and close OPs make life better too.

Yeah the sound quality was not good as I was just using my headphone mic and didn't know much about adjusting sound. However, I did make an effort to improve on sound quality and every video uploaded since Oct.3 2021 has had much better sound quality. Hope you keep watching!

Video start off impressive good tactical gapmeplay then you go using a fundemental basic game flaw the dreaded "wheat fields" as a tip is not really a good tip is it? your basicly camping and using a cheesy game exploit to rak up a K/D not the type of gameplay this game needs promotion. it more highlights major thing's that are wrong with this game and the problems and the half finished work creates. although your playing legit it's a problem that folk can take your legit gameplay for cheating which in turn gets game a bad reputation and makes players leave which is all down to the developers adnd yet another reason this half finished game is not ready for full release tomorrow or any time soon. Don't cheese, it get better

What are you suggesting is the game flaw? That you aren’t completely concealed in a wheat field? Do you think that people moving in a wheat field should be completely invisible? I use the strengths of the MG to hold the enemy in check while I wait for my squad to come assist me. If I had run around in a circle would it be better advice because then I wouldn’t be “camping”? I even show my settings to confirm that I’m not playing on low settings just to gain an advantage when it comes to these situations. I stand by the info presented in this video. I’m not cheesing. I’m not camping. I’m playing my role and playing it well. I’m sorry we disagree about this, but I do appreciate you watching the video and commenting.

Staggeringly stupid perspective. 1 - Crouchrunning through a wheatfield only provides concealment from players at your elevation. MG was at an elevated position. Enemy players should have bellycrawled to a flanking position, especially after getting shredded a couple times. There was zero tactical adjustment on their part, so the results were expected 2 - So what if he's camping? He's defending a fixed position in the middle of the map. Perfectly viable strategy for area denial. Do you consider anyone defending a strongpoint to be camping as well? 3 - The only reason someone would think Gebatron is cheating here is if they're operating under the "if I can't see them, they can't see me" mentality. I have no idea where this perspective comes from, but it needs to go away. The only thing highlighted here is how poorly you understand how to play HLL, and how easy it is for you to to shift your dissatisfaction with being a shit player onto someone who plays tactically and intelligently.

@@GrottyGringo I think the best tip anyone can give a machinegunner is to try and find elevated positions with good side cover. Upper floors of houses such as on Carentan have been especially good in that regard for my game. Hope you mow them down quick enough they can't effectively pinpoint you. Ofcourse without moving it's inevitable the eventual sniper (or really just a good shot) just picks you off.
