Also just the best looking game, period. I've never experienced anything like this. The audio is also insanely good, like Naughty Dog/Rockstar level of good.

Yeah, but it uses cinematic letterboxing by default, so the actual resolution is way lower than 4K, and it's still very demanding. I can't even imagine how it would run without it.

I am so glad you're looking at this Bruh - I have been looking forward to this game for YEARS. I thought Hellblade was a minor classic and very, very different from the games I'd been used to. I'm gonna get this no matter the ratings - Senua and I have some unfinished business. Respect is due... 👏🏾❤

It runs with DLAA under 60fps and its not smooth.

@@sirgareth5283 I know, when ever new game came out and used last GPU available it will runs under 60fps, like for example running RTX 2080 Ti on Borderlands 3 Native 4K or running A Plague Tale Requiem Native 4K on RTX 3090.

I have seen benchmark of RTX 3070 doing 1 fps at 4K Maxed Out Settings, no upscaling at all. And FPS in the 20s with DLSS Quality like in this video.

the game looks incredible. But it appears to have some light stuttering ocassionally. you also seem to have lower Vram usage which is strange as im on a 3080 and its almost hitting the limit. I recorded with shadowplay though so maybe thats why ? if anyone is interested in seeing how much worse the 3080 performs compared to this beast feel free to check out the 3 videos i've put up. I can't wait to uprade to a 5090 later in the year !! being able to play this maxed out at 4k like this would be awesome !! mine will dip under 60 at times even at 1440p with DLSS quality lol. the settings scale pretty well though, turning down volumetrics gives a big boost in FPS

I record at 140mbps and export and 80mbps depending on how long the video is.

This is the best looking game I've ever played. I definitely expect this to still be in the top 5 after the generation has ended. It's so good that it seems almost impossible to surpass it. My top 5 right now: 1. Hellblade II 2. Alan Wake 2 3. The Last Of Us Part 1 + 2 4. Cyberpunk 2077 with Overdrive 5. Forbidden West Honourary mentions for - Red Dead Redemption 2 - Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - A Plague Tale Requiem - Forza Horizon 5 - Death Stranding

I completely agree with you. I didn't played DS and Hellblade 2 but from KZfaq i can see that those to are mighty impressive. To my honorary mention i would add "Ratchet and Clunk Rift Apart" on Pc with all the RT glory and "Robocop Rogue City" (some wonderful environments thanks to Nanite and Lumen but unfortunately mediocre characters.)

Visually quite pretty. I dont know if it's the art style or what, but something about it just doesn't look as pleasing to me as it probably should. Also cant believe they released a game at this price that only lasts like 6-8 hours. maybe if it was like $25 or $30.

In the Video to me it looks like the game Stutters even with high Framerates is that the case in game as well? Cause actually Frametimes are looking fine.

Why don’t you use Frame Generation + DLAA ? FG seems to work very well in this game and with DLAA you have native resolution. With this combo you can’t have more than 60 fps (i need to test, i have the same configuration except my 14900KS).

I feel like the general consensus is that the loss in quality and latency from FG outweigh that from upscaling even from performance mod. So you are better off going to DLSS perf first before using FG to get real frames with reduced latency.

@AVerySillySausage it depends on how well frame gen has been implemented. It works without noticeable latency on Cyberpunk, Ghost of Tsushima, Alan Wake 2 and Avatar(this is AMDs version and only works properly with windowed full screen). It worked well for me in Lords of the Fallen, though they removed it because other people had crashes. I've had issues with Harry Potter. I'm not sure what else I've used it on because most games don't have it.

how it's possible that giantmonkey101 with his 7900xtx have better frame rate/ frame time than your 4090 (same setting apart fsr 3 quality instead dlss quality) and i think this game have only nvidia propretary frame generation...seems strange

Less than 8GB of VRAM usage at 4K, this just goes to show how unoptimized those other games were... Looks like my 3080 will be good for a few more years until PS6 comes out

Idk about that, I have a 3080 10gb too and VRAM is not my main concern, it's the card not being fast enough for my standards even before it runs of VRAM.
