Playing on lvl 7 and 8 difficulty for the first time and Helldivers 2 is becoming very tough. With the wrong stratagems and gear, you won't survive.

@@padawanjon6441 Server related, unfortunately. Queue is taking 30+ mins. Starts with black screen. Had the same thing today and took about 40 mins to get in.

People give devs shit about this, but they didn't anticipate this kind of player numbers, they don't have capacity. It has happened pretty much in every multiplayer game, which became a surprise hit. Kinda dumb that Steam reviews are "mixed" largely because of this. Punished for making a good game. People should show some restraint before leaving a negative review. Lot of them won't bother to correct their reviews later

@ck9801 Hope the review score corrects over time. But there's a huge number of them (122K), it will have permanent effect. Now it went from mixed to mostly positive though, but still. Original Helldivers was a cult classic, it never even reached 7K peak players in Steam, just barely under 7000. (Which is crazy, considering that the gameplay was just as good and largely same, gun audio and music was just as good, graphics pretty nice, only difference the top-down perspective. It even had local 4-player coop). How could have they known that the new game gets almost half a million players. More than GTA5 all-time peak on PC. And then there's also PS5, with crossplay so they try to connect to the same servers. That gotta be way over 1 million players in peak hours

also, if you open your mini map, then right click and hold you can move a cursor on your minimap then place pins or lock in locations for quests

If you're going railgun I would would recommend shield, rover, or supplie backpack. The shield will protect you from getting knocked around and slowed by bugs when it's active.

Tell Stod to try the Autocannon with a backpack partner and switch it to full auto. That thing does not mess around provided you got the space

The part I find difficult is getting a team that doesn’t have people trying to rush through the difficulties… Add a level requirement for Difficulty 4 and higher! STOP THE SWARM OF WEAK PLAYERS THROWING DIFFICULTY 4 RUNS!

btw autocannon can do more than tunnels like you mentioned, you can shoot the open doors of the automaton fabricators when they put out bots and 3 shots will kill that too with autocannon

with the spewers - both orange and green, their "head" is actually much lower, pretty much touching the ground

I highly recommend grabbing the impact grenades. they do the same damage as the HE grenade you have by default but its immediate don't got to wait on the fuse

I love using them but you can't destroy the buildings on the automaton side by throwing a nade in the vent.

Yeah man, it's been 2 weeks now, I know they're working on it, but they need to get this resolved. This is really hurting the game in the long run. A lot of people are refunding it and probably won't come back.

I’ve been playing all weekend managed to get to from level 1 to 10 cause of the 50% exp boost. On ps5 the queue is like 5-10 mins max in the afternoons and quick play started working again on Saturday.

@@GuiiBrazil I've been able to, very recently too. But, because I was having issues with that, what I've found effective 80% of the time is setting up a mission on the navdeck and then waiting and normally at least one if not three people will join within a minute and start the mission. Then do a couple missions with those people in succession. It worked for me. 😊

Im fairly new, every time I sprint and try to pull up stratagems my character full stops...how do I sprint at the same time?

Not sure if you know, but in Helldivers 1 it was common practice to drop far from any objectives. That way you have time to call in your stratagems, gear up.... because those areas are not guarded and enemy presence will be low or non-existent. If you drop right next to an objective, you always get swarmed instantly

the hardest difficulty in the game is starting up the game. first you have to make it through the black screen, then after that you have to wait in queue. only then you can load into your ship and pray it doesn’t crash

I have a Roccat keyboard with macro buttons and i use it's software to bind macros to those buttons to call all the stratagems so much easier. It's very nice. Got this game today, spent 90mins in queue, then stayed on for 4hours. After that i logged in 4 times a few hours later and got on right away..

How can you still sprint forwards while inputting stratagems? Every time my stratagem menu comes up it halts all forward movement.

I just really wish they'd get the servers fixed. I can usually get in since I work nights and play in the early morning, but having no match-making means I'm stuck doing level 3 and under quests since any harder isn't really possible for me to do at my low level. I want to play the game more but I can't until they get it fixed. I understand that they're doing what they can but it's been 2 weeks and people have spent $40-$60 on something that isn't working. The steam reviews are now mixed because of it, and it's really going to hurt the game in the long run.

3 to five sec rush between cover or shooting. You should be planing your path out with 3 to 5 sec between cover. If there is non start shooting...

The thing with 7+ difficulty is that you shouldn't get too bogged down in a fight, choosing engagement is key.

Spitters are vulnerable to explosives. You can easily kill 2-3 of them with 1 impact grenade.

People on twitter been begging Arrowhead for Xbox version cuz the Automatons are proving to be a very formidable foe and they are in need of reinforcement, ODST style. Sometimes, one game can be the bridge to connect players at heart. First they need to beef up the servers.

Playing against bugs on lvl 8: easy, maybe a little sweat, some tense fights, happy thoughts of democracy. Bot defense mission on lvl 8: hell, blood sweat and tears, mostly tears, non stop firefights, might cause actual ptsd.

I am playing with some newfound friends, DreamerMoz and Coach and couple of others, and let me tell you nothing makes the game better than playing it with a bunch of cool people.
