Do you know who Xbox Mil Grau is? He is arguably the worst xbox fanboy I've ever seen. Some years back, he got sued because he harassed a female journalist with a word that rhymes with ape because she said she preferred Playstation. And he sent his army of xbots to do the same. This dude lost 13k in court case because of console wars. What's worse is that he got invited by Phil and Aaron in an xbox event in Brazil some years ago... Arrowhead will make bank if they start with other IP skins (killzone,destiny,) The worrying thing is if they're prepared to consistently support the game with content. I know it caught Sony and AH off guard for sure. Probably had emergency meetings on how to help this small studio out.

Bungie should be shut down and hand over their server infrastructure to Arrowhead at this point. Their laziness and poor output has gone on too long especially for how much Sony valued them with that acquisition. Hell a lot of that money was for employee retention then flushed that down the drain with layoffs from last year.

Jack is right about the digital only movement. Games will only drop in price if it's straight ass. A big reason why I don't get Nintendo games is because their prices never drop, even their black Friday deals are dawg shyt! Just got a physical copy of Prince of persia for $30. Sony store is 50. Got re4 for $30. Sony store is 40 I can get armor core for physical $40. digital is $60 I can get Harry Potter for $40. Digital is still 70 I can get wo long for $40 . Digital is 60 Very surprisingly it looks like lies of p is about five dollars cheaper atm digitally. But like Jack says, an all digital future won't be a good thing in the slightest.

@@acrackedlens9752 that's what I'm confused about, i actually played both heavily foamstars is choppy and in consistent with the foam mechanics in comparison to splatoon there's very little counter play in terms of turf. I also think the scaling of foam is just something they cant handle and optimize well because its super choppy. How did foamstars keep you but you let splatoon go after one time? I'm not being an asshole im genuinely asking.

Also speaking of making a game people want as opposed to following trends. Helldivers 2 is in a way a blast from the past (oh snap just was mentioned at 3:29). The late 2000s/early 2010s we had an abundance of fun and quality co-op multiplayer games. Left 4 Dead, Gears of War (horde mode), Halos, COD WAW zombies, Uncharted 2/3 (also had a horde mode clone), etc... Even Mass Effect 3 tacked on a fun PVE co-op multiplayer mode. They were simply fun games that were great in their gameplay and vision. We lost a lot of that last generation/this generation, so Helldivers 2 totally reminds me those simpler times. A game the developers themselves want to play.

There has also been a lack of great multiplayer Sony games, so I understand why Sony made that statement about wanting/needing more multiplayer games. From a business standpoint it's a lot of money that's left on the table, and the ps3 generation had quite a few amazing and fun multiplayer games the community loved. Killzone, Uncharted 2/3 multiplayer modes, Resistance Fall of Man, Warhawk, etc... People hate GaaS....unless they're good GaaS games.

Xbox did a horrible job of addressing the rumors of their games coming to PS and Nintendo on their podcast. The only thing that Xbox refuted was the rumor of no more day n date. As far as the games that were rumored to be going multiplat, that shit is still hovering and Phil's never say never comment about Starfield And Indy coming to PS certainly didn't help shut shit down. The 4 games that they stated that are being ported over for now are most likely going to be the games from the lists of the rumor games that insiders/journos were reporting on (Hifi, Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, etc.). So much PR spin and vagueness from that podcast. Like Phil saying exclusives will still happen but stop at naming the franchises that will stay exclusives.

That's 25% of overall Steam users and 5% of overall PS5 players, and Steam has way MORE registered users. Circana said that the official sales tracker for games. Someone is lying.

Nothing wrong with live service games if the games are good. Rocket League is probably the best multiplayer game of the past 10 years in my opinion. The benefit of a good GaaS game is you get a good multiplayer game that you can play and enjoy for many years to come versus the old days of playerbase dying off within a year or so or moving to a sequel (older CODs). Destiny is a successful GaaS game (even if you don't like it), Fortnite, Counter Strike (been going on forever), etc...The big issue is when every game tries to be a GaaS (Suicide Squad, from a developer that made great single player games to something they're completely unfamiliar with), Skull and Bones (could have just been a Black Flag sequel and been a better game that came out years ago), and what not. There are also only so many multiplayer GaaS that can exist at the same time and have reasonable success, so it's a brutal marketshare to compete for, but of course the benefit is unlimited money if you have a good GaaS game.

After the price hike, I stopped paying for plus. They weren't making any online games anyway, so It was collecting dust, so to speak. 2024 has been good but smoove is right xbox will be putting the most games out this year. Nintendo and PlayStation are both waiting for 2025. Don't let fanboys convince u both platforms are dry as hell.

I think is so crazy that these Playstation guys and get on a podcast and bash xbox all day but never bring up that Playstation don't have any first party games till April 25 lol

lol not having a first party release doesn’t mean there’s no games , they got second party ala helldivers 2, stellar blade , rise of the ronin, etc , sure they’re not first party , but they’re ps studio IPs nonetheless. People only say first party for the sake of the argument lol . That’s the twitter narrative
