HELP!! My Screenpad 2.0 Stopped Working! Here is how I fixed mine.

I just received this link from Asus
dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb...
It appears to be the exe file, not the zip file.
I talked with a ASUS chat tech. It looks like there is a maintenance issue on the ASUS support site. They will contact me within the next 24 to 48 hours with an update
*** The Optimizer link below is not working. I checked on the Asus support site and the link is not working there either. They do not open until noon Eastern time. I will check with them at that time. It is currently 0930***
Screenpad 2.0 is not working on my Asus Vivobook S15 S532EQ-DS79. I woke up to find that my Screenpad 2.0 stopped working. All of the apps and groups were there but I could not tap or click on anything. I searched the Net but everything I found seemed really complicated. After over two hours on chat with Asus support, I got it fixed. I thought an instructional video might help someone else who has the issue. BTW, it appears a Microsoft update caused the problem. Here are the steps you likely need to take to fix the problem. If the links do not work, copy and paste into your browser then hit the enter key. Restart your Vivobook S15 after everything is complete.

1) Uninstall MyAsus and ScreenXpert from your laptop
2) Retrieve I2C Host Controller driver dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb...
3) ScreenXpert (Windows Store App) www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/scr...
4) ASUS ScreenXpert Interface dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb...
5) MyASUS (Windows Store App) www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/mya...
6) ASUS System Control Interface v3 dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb...
7) ScreenPad Plus Optimizer V1.0.0.6 dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb... (This link may be broken. Try this one instead)

I hope this helps. It worked for me. My Screenpad 2.0 works as good as new.

Thanks for sharing. My new Asus was just shipped to me yesterday. The screen pad was working fine, until several hours later after the machine had gone through many rounds of system updates. I was upset because I read some some postings on the Internet about screen pad not working properly but never thought it would really happened to me. I guess this is a common issue. I followed your instruction to fix it and I felt grateful that the method works. Thanks again.

Hello good sir. Just wanted to give you my thanks for the video. I recently did a clean Windows 10 Install on my ASUS Zenbook UX434FL and was having all sorts of issues getting the ScreenPad 2.0 up and running again. I went to the support page you mentioned, but installing those things in order did NOT help. Following your step by step finally solved my problem (the Optimizer just kept failing until i did it in your exact order). So thanks again. For saving my sanity!

I have no idea why they have not done anything about it. They removed the screen, doc and sheet xpert apps in September. It took two weeks for the Asus techs to find out that the developers had removed the apps. They were trying to get me to do a factory reset. Details are in my video about the update

Hi! My problem with my screenpad is that when I try to click "Extend", the 2nd screen won't turn on as if the laptop could not detect the 2nd screen. Would you know any solution to this? Thank you so much for your help. I tried doing your instructions in the video but nothing changed.

@@LissetteMH. La segunda opción, pero lo más fácil es descargar todos los drivers que están en la descripción del video los instalas, también MyASUS y ScreenXpert, reinicias la compu y funciona. Espero que te sirva

Hey, thanks man. I did all the steps and it is working well now. Idk if I missed a step but MyASUS is not installed for me. If I go ahead and download it, will it affect my screenpad at all? Sorry I am not the best with this stuff. Thanks, again. Also when I press F6, the icon that shows which mode I am changing to is not appearing anymore. Any ideas?

Try downloading the MyAsus app again and see if that fixes it.
