HEMI SWAP Dodge Ram 1500 SST 2nd Gen | Part 5
In this episode we work on the fuel system on this second gen dodge ram 1500 pickup truck and get the new fuel tank installed and the new holley fuel pump as well as run new fuel lines with earls performance plumbing and mr gasket components. We then test the fuel system and get the fuel pump wiring completed as well as mount a Earl's fuel filter

I have a white SS/T and one of the best things I did was switch the grill and front bumper to the 2001 sport style, along with the mirrors too

You can flip the 6.4 fuel raìls around so the connection is at the back where the 5.7 is. The 6.4 intake swap guys do this all the time.

Just know that the more bends and the more aggressive bends you have in your fuel line the more pressure that is lost. Looks good nonetheless.

Mopar doesn't make a 10 spd. But the 8HP75 will work perfectly and TBH its equally a good unit.

I don't know why you are trying to keep the 727 transmission the truck came with a 46RE

727 is manually controlled, no electronics and was supposedly built. The 46re is electronically controlled, so he'd need a standalone module for that. The re would likely never last behind the 5.7 even in stock form, let alone under boost. And, if he ended up using an electronically controlled trans, he has the 8hp70 already. All he'd need would be a module to control it. Which, would be sick if he could get the stock shift lever to work with the 8hp70 electronic range selector.

Yup I don’t have a spare 46RE just the 727 that came with this and a 8HP70 on the shelf. I could probably find a 46RE if I want to but as you mentioned the 46RE wouldn’t last long on stock 5.7 power let alone turned up with exhaust, intake and tune it should be making some decent jam

Don't know what you are going to be running for Header check out BBK they have some Short Headers specifically designed for the hemi engine. I use them on my 5.7 Hemi 2009 rebuild. Send me a email and I can send you pictures
