I LOVE how Henry wants to bring forth Geralt's intellect and soul/philosophy and wisdom. Geralt has already lived longer than most ordinary people and he has gained a lot of knowledge and insight into life and human nature. I'm really very much looking forward to the deeper aspect of Geralt to make him more 3-dimensional and not just a monster hunter. There is SO MUCH MORE to him! For a moment, I thought Joey Batey was going to say he was Team Jaskier - just to give the Geraskier fandom something to scream about and then be like, "just kidding! just kidding!" LOL I wouldn't put that past him to do a prank like that. I know he's not on social media, so I wonder if he realizes just how big the Geraskier fandom is. Great Interviews!!! I am VERY intrigued about Kim Bodnia. Never heard of the actor before S2 and never saw any of his work, but every interview I've seen so far as Vesemir - I'm really diggin this man and what his fellow cast mates say about him which is nothing short of high praises. Like Henry, he has a deep understanding of Vesemir AND Geralt and I can't wait to see that translate on the screen! Even Lauren Hissrich said in an interview that casting him for Vesemir was sheer 'perfection'. I'm SO excited for S2!!! I'm hearing chatter that those who have had the privilege of viewing S2 EP01 say that it was amazing and proof that S2 will be FAR better than S1 was.

Well if you played Witcher 3, it does get kind of confusing in that one mission when the song associated with the love interests starts playing when you're talking to Jaskier.

Honestly, i expected Joey to joke about that as well lmao. Well, i will keep the ending i got in witcher 3 close to my heart, where i didn't pick either Yen or Triss and Jaskier (Dandelion) just showed up instead. Truly a love rectangle ;)

Yeah, there was a little backlash against her casting but I didn't get it. She's pretty and with the makeup they made her look quite similar. The only difference is her cheeks aren't as pronounced and her eyes are more round. I was a little offput with Anna's casting as Triss at first cause her hair didn't look red enough, but the books say it's chestnut, and mostly looks brown. Would've preferred the bright red hair and green eyes though, it is a more distinctive look.

@@itsyao Not anywhere ive seen..most who had issues before seeing her on the show just thought she wasn't pretty enough or mature enough but she proved them wrong ...race from what i saw was mentioned but not as a big issue.. Ciri on the other hand did become a race issue as there was uproar when originally they were only looking for Black, Asian, and other Minority Ethnic actresses to play her...

I can't help but laugh when someone who hasn't played the games is asked about "Triss vs Yennefer" because outside of the games the love triangle does not even exist, so to ask that is non-sensical. As a fan of the books first and foremost, I will say I did like the way that the games really upgraded Triss. She's a wonderful character in the games, but in the books she's rather cringy. Triss sections of the books were almost painful to read. In the first two games I was enjoying all the interactions with Triss, but in the 3rd there was no contest. My Geralt will always choose Yen. In the show, I'm curious to see how they will change Triss, if at all. They've changed so many things, I wouldn't be surprised if they gave her an upgrade as well. I hope so...

coccinella In the books and the show - yeah maybe. But not in the games. Yennefer in the games is simply too evil and too uncaring for the lives of all the people around her. Especially all the havoc she wreaks in Skellige is unacceptable for me. Yes I get that she does it for Ciri, however that's no excuse to risk the lives of tens of thousands of innocents as she does; only the presence of Moussack and his druids prevents her misuse of the mask to unleash a catastrophe upon Aard Skellige that could have wiped out the entire island and all its inhabitants - and Yen doesn't even care about what she did. Or her desctruction of the Garden, that's another big one. And whats making all of this the worst is that she doesn't even start to look for alternative solutions, she's always taking the shortcut and consequences be damned. Triss on the other hand is just a good person in the games. Just for the records - I did a Yen playthrough of the game as well of course, however usually I'm Team Triss in the games, she's just more likeable.

@@HH-hd7nd My choice in the game is more complicated than just prefering a certain character. It's more accurate to say I chose Yennefer because she is more important to the story from a narative point, she plays a bigger role, she has a bigger impact on the story and the characters, a better fit, the canon if you prefer to call it that way. And with Triss I just couldn't take her seriously, I just can't, not after everything she did. I can't and I will never chose her. That's what I meant with "Fooled", you called her a "good person" in the games, and I'm struggling to understand how is she a good person after what she did in the first 2 games. Taking advantage of Geralt's amnesia and using him, a fact she herself admits she did, in the witcher 3. And I know that people have different preferences and opinions. But for you apparently it doesn't matter. The original comment is brief and the one who wrote it expressed that he prefers Yen. But you reply with a long pharagraph where you explain how, why and what you don't like about Yennefer in the games. So in other words you think you have the right to express your opinion, your choice and the reason for it, but you don't like it or accept it when other people do it. Double standard 😒

always team Yennefer! Yennefer is the only woman Geralt ever truly loved, in the books Geralt & Yennefer were always the actual couple. Geralt never reallly loved Triss at all, she was more like a distraction to him and he rejected Triss so many times in the books, even though Triss was always so clingy to him. It's ridiculous that the games would even make Triss on option, because in actuality in the Witcher story, Geralt would never pick Triss. And I'm glad that Henry himself understands this and he always picks Yennefer, Yennfer is really the only REAL option. None of that Geralt & Triss nonsense, I'm glad the show is based on the books and not the games. the games are just fanfiction and not canon, too much ridiculousness in the games.

Just saying, the games were the reason: A) that the books became known (besides Poland) B) that the show was actually produced. If the Witcher 3 (which was a masterpiece btw, it still is the game that has won the most awards of all time, mostly because of its "ridiculous" story as you say) didnt have the success that it did, Netflix would have never taken the risk to run a show based on some Polish books, or even if they did, the budget would have been way way lower and there would have been no Henry Cavill or anyone even remotely famous associated with it!

I saw that too. In S 1 she was natural and pure like a 13-14 y. old girl. When she met Geralt she was between 10 and 11 in the books. But now in S.2 she wore obviously too much make up, wigs etc. and looks much older. A heavy difference from then to now. I miss the continuity -control in her case.

I hope they learn from 1st season's mistakes. The transition between different timelines were extremely bad. And they often ended some episodes on not so good scenes. It was a great season though 7.5/10. I hope Season 2 is better

I every time I hear someone mention a triangle I think they are talking about Jaskier. I have not read the books or played the games. I know nothing of Triss other than Season 1 and there is no sense of love interest . So as far as I’m concerned it’s Jaskier. Do people really not feel that?

I agree that so far in the show the only person that maybe has romantic feelings for Geralt, other than Yennefer obviously, is Jaskier, but those feelings are not necessarily reciprocated.

I think it should be Yennefer, Geralt and Isstrid. That would be good! Seeing they’ve met already and season 3 will be around Time if Contempt. The ball scene is going to be epic. Can’t wait to see how they pull it off.
