Amazing work. We have a similar historic situation with Sufi/Tawassuf and Salafi movements in Sunni Islam.

Thanks 🙏 I’m a sponge to God’s words! I hear and see things without eyes and without ears! I’m extremely grateful and love our God ! These lessons are beautiful. I have a Zohar but it’s an original and I can’t read it yet but I will one day. I was shown all the original words as they became books so when I see in the physical I know it came from God to Moses.

Dr. The video lectures are only getting better! This was so enjoyable ... dotted with humor and personal stories! In Yeshiva in Bene Brak in Kollel Chazon Ish, the Misnagid strong hold- one of my Rebbis, an illui from Ponevich responded when asked about the parity between the two groups, "There are Chasidim who can learn as well as Misnagdim and Misnagdim who can drink as well as Chasidim".

Please, Can you expand on the Chasidic map and give us an in depth lecture on the 5 prominent talmidim of the Maggid of Mezrich, their interactions and communications with each other after his death from their distant far-flung communities. ie: Elimelech of Lezhensk, Levy Yitzchak of Berdichev and Shmuel Shmelke of Nikolsburg. Thank You

Shalom, It's amazing how much we Muslims have in Common with Strict Orthodox Jews. Besides our laws which are very similar, even in our different groupings. The Hasidim are like the Sufis and the misnagdim are like the Salafis.

As daf yomi was introduced in 1923, hasidim could not be faulted for ignoring daf yomi to study kabbalah in the 1700's.

Another great lecture hope your well a worrying time with yet another new variant we’ve taken our son out of school yet again and home schooling him till January. My wife’s ancestry has Hasidic lines as does my own further back 200 or so years.

I am not Jewish, but have to honestly say that as a result of watching several of your videos, I am really gaining a love and appreciation for Jewish history, and thought! And I find that it is helping to deepen my own faith, because of the many parallels that I see. (I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian, having converted from Protestantism nearly 20 years ago.) Thank you for making these videos! They are truly a blessing!

So before Vallozhin (sp) Yeshiva, was the 80% talmudic seder hayom standard or historically was it more like 50 or 60% Talmud or what? And since Sephardi are traditionally more Nach-centered, was their seder hayom usually like half Talmud?

Very clear and alive!😀 Who came up with idea that one should learn Kabbala only after age 40? I have the feeling Rosh Yeshivas are concerned that if the wide masses were introduced to Kabbala, they would spend all their time learning Kabbala instead of Gmara. However, it's diffecult to be a pure Talmudist these days! The truth is, the Misnagdim also skip Aggada, and also ignore Midrash and Nach. So they SEEK a path of dryness.

I have seen through hydromancy how God spoke the first letters to become words!!!! I explained it to my mother because my grandfather also had this gift and many people would visit his temple to heal through God’s miracles

Good God! Have these people at all noticed what was happening around them? The late 18th century was a time of tremendous change. Wars and revolutions wrecked old empires and old thinking. It was the time of great discoveries: the first steam engines, balloons, Captain Cook voyages, American War of Independence, coffee, tea, and cocoa became popular throughout Europe. The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth ceased to exist. Was any of this reflected in writings of Lithuanian Jews at the time?

Chassidim are a reform movement like reform and conservative judaism. Thats why i dont pay attention to their chumrahs since they end up violating the torah “thou shalt not add or take away…”
@Bulvan123
@Bulvan123 2 жыл бұрын
Chasidim are not Reform because they stayed true to following traditional law (the definition of "Orthodox"). Of course no one is obligated or should feel obligated to keep their Chumras.

To date this is the only group that broke away from the rabbinic hold on judaism, the samaritans are practicaly extinct and the karaites arent doing much better.

The first six minutes were irrelevant and a waste of time. You missed the important issue of changing the value system i.e. devaluing the supreme value of Torah study. The knives issue was not sharpness but double bladed or not. You missed the charge of panentheism at the burning bush. No chasidic rebbe required kabbalistic kavanot during prayer. So many mistakes Henry. Very superficial.
