Exactly. Too many women waste their youth waiting around on a man to decide if "he " wants to get married. There is a timeline and expiration date on everything. If you're dating someone and there's no conversation about taking things to the next level after 6 months, keep it movin. This poor lady was basically hanging around for 12 years for nothing, probably could've met a man when she was younger and gotten married to someone else, sad.

If you ask me she gave him her BEST YEAR'S. MY best years of my entire life so far was my 40s. I looked the best ever, I felt the best ever. I tell you she gave that away to him and when he felt like she was starting to get old he left her for someone younger. If they had at least been married it might have been a little bit harder for him to walk away, MAYBE.😮

Everything that sounds good isn't necessarily beneficial. Although those words aren't in the Bible, the relationship is. Joseph was engaged to Mary, when he decided to put her away, that is break up with her. The Lord through a dream told him to go ahead and marry her. Ruth worked hard. She caught the eye of Boaz. Seeing her character, he showed her "special" kindness and protection. There was potential complications due to their status difference, Boaz took care of the matter by becoming Ruth’s kinsman-redeemer, establishing a relationship. She had privileges the other women didn't. Why? He found her to be wife material. It is wise for men looking for wives to make sure she is of a wifely character. That takes some level of getting to know someone. Also holds the same for women in choosing a husband. What the Bible advocates for is abstaining from sex, and fornication, and lust. This requires boundaries within relationships.

I used to work with a girl, her boyfriend didn’t respect her, treated her like a doormat, he had a bad temper, screamed at her, she was my kids age and she asked my advice what should she do, because he promised her marriage and he keeps making excuses, I told her to leave him, for one the way he treats her. I told her she will find the right guy and she did, he’s a teacher and she is a teacher assistant, god fearing man and she’s a real nice girl, they got married after 8 months.

Btw this woman never said she wanted to get married. A lot of women are opting out of marriage and dating all together. That's what I did. I told my (then) boyfriend "if we are not engaged in one year from now, I'm moving out of this town." I had moved TO the town for school, met him, and didn't like the town or the school, but I loved HIM. 1 year later we were married. We've been married 13 years now, and will always be.

I am in a new dating relationship with a chivalrous man. He makes sure I am not walking close to the street, opening car doors, building doors, always having me enter first, etc… and I make sure to acknowledge this. Ladies, stay celibate! Do *not* sleep with a man until *after* he commits to you! If he isn’t willing to date you and get to know you for you without sex, that’s a red flag. Walk away.
