I know Tokyo wasn't the best for a lot of reasons but to me, these are the stories that made it really special still. it was also the Olympics I saw almost in its entirety despite the time zone differences and when I was motivated to start running and weightlifting to support that. I've kept up with both, and I'm currently training for a half marathon! so despite Tokyo not having the same in-house crowd and buzz, a time of uncertainty during the height of the pandemic, it still holds a special place in my heart. this was a lovely callback to those moments of inspiration 😊❤
