💑 About Hercules Candy
Hercules Candy has been on Steve’s side of the family since 1910(ish). When he took over in the 70’s, he anticipated after 10 years of hard work, he could move the business out of the basement and into a real storefront. Unfortunately, it took until 2018 for that to happen, but hey at least it happened! Steve and Terry own the shop, Craig (the social media manager) is their son, Cara (wrapper and shipper extraordinaire who is poised to take over the shop one day) is their daughter and Leah (who doesn’t love being on camera and is very elusive) is their oldest daughter. Karen has been working for Hercules Candy since the twins (Craig and Cara) were about 6 months old and everybody else is a new recruit. Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the 🔔 for more videos!

I’m a professional chocolatier, and have spent the last 2 months cranking out the Christmas stuff, so I relate to this HARD. Spent all day today packing toffee, with my gram scale and my ribbon and all, but we were LOUD. Merry Christmas, fellow confectioners!

omg! I've been watching your main channel for years. Just found this by accident yesterday. I saw the word Hercules and instantly clicked on it then realized after a few minutes that it was ASMR-like. Glanced at the title and saw that you've started a new channel!!! Love it! This is how it's made by hand anyway. Most places use something called a very aptly named ribbon candy machine

I love watching the wrapping, I don't know why but its cool especially when Karen is doing it! " tight, like your choking somebody " lol. I remember when you were back at the house and Craig was vidoe Karen and she grunted saying it and Teri came rushing out because she thought Karen was hurting picking something up. Ah, good times!

As a kid Dad brought this ribbon candy home every Christmas. We all loved it. Back then the ribbons were much thicker and you got more candy for your buck…..now a days the ribbon candy is absolutely paper thin and breaks so easy like a potato chip! We no longer buy it as it’s all broken into small thin pieces by the time you get it home.

Every bit of handmade ribbon candy that I have ever seen is paper-thin like Hercules! The thinker ribbon candies are usually machine made.

Her ribbon is symmetric and proportional. I think to lessen the chance of breakage in shipping, it is better to lay it flat up (like seen on the counter)rather than align it side ways with the curve up. The disadvantage with it facing up is that it is not getting a lot into the box.

Do you ever make a "master ribbon" so you can measure the wrapping ones to the same one so the length doesn't vary as much? If you change the master each time you'll get a larger range of sizes...

Ribbon candy is one my favorite childhood memories. It was so delicate the flavors were amazing. Bought some a few years ago and it was awful. It was thick and tasteless. Wish y'all shipped it but I understand. ❤
