Today we're talking about how I recreated the iconic Ecto 1 Manhattan Bridge crossing scene from Ghostbusters during my Halloween 2015 trip to New York City. We'll look at the original clip, my recreation, and then we'll compare the two side-by-side. Drop a comment below, letting me know how I did! That bridge shot is just amazing. You should look at that footage with a ton of pride. Very cool!

It was until my driveshaft u-joints gave out under the Roosevelt Bridge and wound up costing me almost an entire day :\

Only difference is the two towers 😔 Fun fact: the ecto-1 stalled after that seen on the bridge, it was supposed to be a longer shoot with the helicopter… but instead the production received a heavy fine for blocking traffic.

I loved those 2 NYC vids! btw Did you know the firehouse was originally a 2 stall? why its a 1 stall is because the street was widened

Yes, I actually did know that! Sadly I've only seen two pictures in its original configuration. Not sure how many exist.

@@TheAutoCollection the interior is in Los Angeles that fire station was built the same year as the one in NYC have seen it in other movies

I know this is a dumb question to ask, but why did they have their lights on were they going to a call? Either that or the producers wanted it for a better view of the car. P.S., I wonder why the person flying the drone wasn't worried it was going to go straight down into the Hudson!

The camera operator is a highly practiced person who made sure everything was good to go with it before filming. I'm guessing they wanted a better view of the car. They might have filmed those scenes as part of going on a call, but I couldn't tell you for sure having never read a copy of the script.

@@TheAutoCollection Just found they were returning back from a call, as there were no interactions between the 2 at the firehouse, so most likely that was the result.
