After watching this video I did this using 80% rubbing alcohol and an antibacterial wipe, and the burnt look just wiped right off, needing hardly any elbow grease at all. I guess it depends on the strength of the alcohol. My Afterlife Ecto looks way better now and more like it does in the trailers. Thank you 😊

I used 91% IPA a couple of weeks ago and it came of really easily. Very little rubbing needed. I used a couple of cotton balls and swiped from the window down the hood in a straight line. The rust and other paint apps don’t have time to come off. It looks very good and was done in under 10 mins.

But also when stuff like that ends up there it dont normally come it in one piece so there might be missing parts and stuff. I already have one and its the chard version but i will be looking for one of these

Go to town on it! You have the untouched version, so even if you do something that you’re not thrilled with, it’s not like it’s the only one you have. There’s a guy local who does police cars with lights. I’ve been wanting to see what he’d charge to do the ecto for me. He does all local police departments vehicles and ones for fallen officers for charity. But I’m looking for a raccoon city police replica first. Like out of resident evil 2. If I ever get around to either I’ll update you guys

I think I’m the only one on earth who really likes the dark version. It adds character to it and makes it more unique. Makes it stand out compared to my other ectos

I rubbed off the burn from the hood on mine, but I think they used dark brown plastic for the front because I can’t get to the grey underneath. It could be the % of my alcohol wipes tho

I think the new mod looks fantastic! I think you should leave it alone now. No more mods. One thing though is, altering this model makes it lose some of its collector value. Still, it looks great! Good job!

Mine's super DUPER scorched. Even more so than your darker variant. It is a bit excessive, though I may leave it. The early production run variant could become fairly rare.

Wouldn't the manufacturer defect make those more unique seeing that they had to fix the issue. I would think those would be more rare at some point.
