Excellent replica! And on the correct vehicle too. Just out of curiosity, is the miller meteor futura duplex a 42" ceiling or 48" ceiling? What would be the height of the roof from the ground? 61"?

in its condition yes id love this for my last ride. plenty of payload for the heavy. and will accommodate. 7 footers. that was my favorite long travel family car. da 59 coupe de ville 4dr of course. its a gem fella,,

Which of the doors were made by Miller-Meteor? Or are the side doors from Cadillac limousine with taller windows? Is the windscreen taller, too?

Seems hung up on the car not having A/C. It was 1959. I did not have a car with functioning A/C until 1993 and managed to survive just fine.

Even if it is fully restored might be worth more that $100,000. This one needs a Corvette engine and transmission if not a powerful and reliable GM Duramax diesel engine and its transmission as alternative options.

I think someone that near my town won that car from the contest. Town rumor was that Columbia sued to get it back. I just remember seeing parked in front of the old Hardees when I was a kid because the guy ate there all the time and a couple times in his driveway. I think he live out in the county somewhere at the end of a 3 way stop don't remember where though.

Also remember he would always get gas the same gas station, not there anymore, was hit by a tornado, used car lot now. My family did volunteer work for the city, remember them saying that he refused to put it in any car shows or parades.

My son is 5 and autistic. (What kid isn’t these days?) I asked him “What colour flashing lights should a police car have?” He said “Blue”. He then explained green lights are for private doctors, purple are for certain hearses and amber are for slow vehicles. I then asked him what vehicle multicoloured lights belong to. His response? “Ghostbusters”. Go ahead. Tell a kid with autism he’s wrong 😉.

I absolutely love this car and I hope the restoration is going well. I was especially glad to see the interior shots since I have a 1/25 scale Ecto-1 model kit that I'd rather build as a stock ambulance/hearse combo, just like the car in the video.

Im an old school Ghostbusters kid and I alwasy thought that the ecto 1a was way cooler and more badass. Its a supped up version of the first one how do people not think its cooler. With that said I love them both
